Finding You Part 8, Chapter 32 ~ At Alexander's ~ Alexander was on the phone. "Genevieve, please pick up. I want to talk to you before you go back to school," Alexander said and hung up as Nikolas and Emily entered. "What is going on?" Nikolas asked. "Genevieve broke up with me. I don't know what's going on with her, but she pushed me away one night," Alexander replied. "I'm sorry," Nikolas said. "I'm not giving up yet. I still have tomorrow before Genevieve leaves. Did you go to Lorenzo's club opening?" Alexander asked. "No, we need to talk," Nikolas said. "Alexander, I know you want to find your birth mother," Emily said. "I do love you; it has nothing to do with you. I love that you were raised by me. I just have questions," Alexander responded. "I get that. I never knew who my birth father was," Emily said. "Then, who is she?" Alexander asked. "All you need to know is that she's dead. She died giving birth to you and your brother," Nikolas explained. "Did she love you? Did you love her?" Alexander inquired. "You were made with love and raised with love. Emily and I love you and your brother," Nikolas said. Alexander was beginning to understand what his father wanted. "Yes, Father," Alexander replied. "Good. I'm glad we got that settled. Now, your mother and I are leaving to see Victor in Switzerland tomorrow. I want you to run the empire while I'm away," Nikolas instructed. "I will, Father," Alexander agreed. "Good. I know I can trust you to run the empire. You're doing a great job, son," Nikolas said. "Thanks, Father," Alexander responded. Emily left as Genevieve came into the hallway. "About you and Genevieve—maybe the long-distance thing is too hard. You should find someone else, one whose father isn't in the mob," Nikolas suggested. "Father," Alexander said. "You've only been with one woman, son, and you're young, but you do need a wife to help run the empire and give you a baby," Nikolas stated. "Yes, Father," Alexander agreed. "Goodnight, son," Nikolas said and left. Genevieve also left.
At The Rose ~ Lorenzo's Club ~ Alan approached Lorenzo. "Lorenzo, I do hope this is real and you've left the mob, not for yourself, but for Luis. He looks up to you, and I hope you let my daughter go," Alan said. "I know, Alan, that you hate Skye and me being together, but I will not give up on my wife," Lorenzo replied and stepped outside to find Skye, who was crying. "Skye," Lorenzo said as he wiped her tears. "Why are you crying?" he asked. "It's nothing," Skye replied. "Skye, come on, talk to me," Lorenzo urged. "I still love you; I just..." Skye started. "I know you miss me. You're just using Ric, and I will be here waiting for you," Lorenzo said, leaning in to kiss Skye. "Oh, Lorenzo, you always have been a good kisser, but it's not that easy," Skye admitted. "Lila Rae and Skylar have forgiven me," Lorenzo said. "I know, and I want to believe you've left the mob, but the danger is always here," Skye cautioned. "You know that the day we say I do, nothing has a chance," Lorenzo replied. "Yes, it does. Your lifestyle has touched our children," Skye pointed out. Ric arrived. "Skye, there you are," Ric said. "Ric, can you take me home?" Skye asked. "Sure," Ric agreed, taking her hand. "Bye, Skye. I'll see you tomorrow," Lorenzo said as Skye left.
