Finding You Part 8, Ch 52 ~ At the General Hospital ~ Rae's Room ~ Rae was awake when Skye came in. "So, John is staying and taking care of you," Skye asked. "Yes, Skye, I know you want to take care of me, and it means a lot to me, but there is something else you can do for me," Rae said. "Anything," Skye replied, taking her mother's hand. "I want you and Lorenzo to fix things with Genevieve," Rae requested. "We're going to see her in two weeks," Skye said. "Life is short. Please go as soon as you can," Rae urged. "Why are you so worried about this?" Skye asked. "I just don't want you to have any regrets in life, and I want you and Genevieve to be close," Rae explained. "I want that for Mother, but I don't think Genevieve and I will ever be that close. This week is an exam for her, and if I know my Genevieve, she's studying like crazy and putting a lot of pressure on herself to pass," Skye said. "She does that," Rae agreed. "Yes, and then Genevieve passes her test. I don't understand why she wants to be so perfect," Skye said. "To make you proud," Rae replied. "I'm—" Skye started to say. "Have you ever said it?" Rae asked. "No," Skye responded. "Please go fix things," Rae pleaded. "I don't want to leave you," Skye said, just as Alan entered. "Rae, how are you doing?" Alan asked. "I'm fine. I'm trying to tell our daughter to visit Genevieve, and I will be okay," Rae replied. "I will make sure," Alan promised. "Mother, you're not going to give up on this, are you?" Skye asked. "No," Rae said. "Skye, Rae will be fine; the cancer is gone," Alan reassured. "Yes, and John can take care of me," Rae added. "He better, and I'm glad you and John are together," Skye said. "Thanks for bringing him here," Rae appreciated. "You're welcome," Skye responded and left. "So, you and John?" Alan inquired. "Yes, we share a past in Llanview," Rae stated. "I'm happy for you and that you're doing okay," Alan said. "Thanks. Are you okay that Skye picked Lorenzo?" Rae asked. "Not really, but I will support her," Alan admitted. "Me too," Rae agreed.
In the hallway, Skye approached John. "John, you better take care of my mother," Skye warned. "I promise I will," John assured her. "Good, Rae loves you," Skye said. "I love her too. Thank you for calling me. I'm glad you and Rae are close," John expressed. "Who would've thought Rae and I would become close?" Skye mused. "I did," John replied, taking Skye's hand just as Lorenzo approached. "What's going on?" Lorenzo asked. "Nothing. I'll go check on Rae," John said and left. "So, you and John are friends?" Lorenzo asked. "Are you jealous?" Skye questioned. "Sure, I..." Lorenzo started. "No, I haven't dated John. I did date someone named Gabe once who looks like him," Skye clarified. "Anyway, what did Rae want?" Lorenzo asked. "Rae wants us to go see Genevieve as soon as we can and fix things with her," Skye explained. "Doesn't she have her test this week? You know how stressed she gets," Lorenzo pointed out. "Yes, I do. But I think Mother is right," Skye agreed. "Alright, we'll go. But first, let's get you back home," Lorenzo decided. "Yes," Skye nodded. They left together.
