Finding You, Part 8, Chapter 7 — "Truth Cassadine"
At Laura's house—Laura was home when the doorbell rang. It was Alexander. "Alexander, come in," Laura said. "Thank you, Grandmother. I need to ask you something," Alexander replied. "Sure. Do you want some coffee or anything?" Laura asked as they sat down. "No, thanks. I just need the truth, and I know you'll give it to me. Grandmother, do you know who my birth mother is?" Alexander asked. "Oh, Alexander. Have you talked to your father about it?" Laura asked. "Yes. Father won't give me an answer, and that's why I'm here," Alexander said. As the doorbell rang again, Laura opened the door—it was Nikolas. "Mother, I need your help with my son," Nikolas said as he entered and looked at Alexander. "What are you doing here?" Nikolas asked. "Looking for the honest truth, and I know you're here to tell Grandmother not to give it to me," Alexander replied. "Yes, I am," Nikolas admitted. "I have a right to know who my mother is. Father, you grew up without Grandmother. You know how I feel. I love Emily, but I want to know who my mother is. Is it Courtney Matthews?" Alexander asked. "No, Courtney died before you and your brother were even conceived," Nikolas explained. "Then if it's not Courtney, who?" Alexander pressed. "Alexander, you had a great childhood. Leave this alone," Nikolas advised. "Father," Alexander said. "I'm not telling you—it's an order," Nikolas insisted. "Nikolas," Laura said, but just then Alexander's phone rang. He looked at the ID—it was Genevieve. "It's Genevieve," Alexander said. "Answer it," Nikolas urged. Alexander went to answer.
"Nikolas, you can't hide it from him," Laura said. "I can try," Nikolas replied. "Nikolas, you owe your sons the truth," Laura reminded him. "Mother, please just help me," Nikolas begged.
"I miss you too. That's great. I can't wait to see you," Alexander said, then hung up and approached Laura and Nikolas. "Son, I love you. Just leave this alone," Nikolas said. "Father, I feel like a part of me is missing," Alexander admitted. "It's not—you're better off without her," Nikolas responded. "It's up to me, not you, Grandmother," Alexander asserted. "Alexander, I'm telling you the truth—I don't know," Laura confessed. "Thanks, I have to go," Alexander said and left. "Thank you, Mother," Nikolas said. "Don't. I hate lying to him. You can't hide the truth forever," Laura warned. "I know, and Alexander isn't going to let this go," Nikolas admitted. "No, he's not," Laura agreed.
