Finding You, Part 8, Chapter 30~
At the Rose, Genevieve went up to the bar. "I would love a glass of wine," she said. "Are you old enough?" the bartender asked. "Yes, besides, my father owns this club," Genevieve replied. The bartender handed her a glass of wine, and Genevieve was about to drink it when Lorenzo took the glass. "Daddy," Genevieve said. "You're not old enough to drink. Don't give any alcohol to anyone without seeing an ID," Lorenzo replied. "Yes, sir," the bartender said. "Daddy, why did you do that?" Genevieve asked. "Because I can. He's not worth it," Lorenzo replied. "I just want a drink. You can't stop me," Genevieve said. "Maybe not when you're at school, but here I can. Did you think you would get away with drinking without me seeing or were you trying to get my attention?" Lorenzo asked. "Don't flatter yourself, Daddy," Genevieve said. "That's what I thought," Lorenzo replied as Alan came by. "Is everything okay?" Alan asked. "Yes, Grandfather," Genevieve said. "I just caught my daughter trying to order a glass of wine," Lorenzo said. "Oh, Genevieve, come join Monica," Alan said. "Sure," Genevieve replied and left.
Lorenzo was upset as Lila Rae came by. "Daddy," Lila Rae asked. "I'm fine. Where is Morgan?" Lorenzo asked. "Morgan had to work," Lila Rae said. "Oh. So what do you think?" Lorenzo asked. "I love it," Lila Rae replied. "Good," Lorenzo said.
"Genevieve, did you try to order a drink?" Alan asked. "Why the big deal? It's just a drink," Genevieve asked. "Because alcoholism runs in our family and you're underage, you know that. So what is going on?" Alan asked. "I broke up with Alexander. I think I may have made a mistake," Genevieve said. "Then go talk to him," Alan replied. "But then I would have to admit that I love him and I need him, and I will not do that," Genevieve said. "Oh, why are you so stubborn?" Alan asked. "I don't know. I'm scared when it comes to love," Genevieve said. "Don't be scared," Alan said. "That makes you a fool," Genevieve said. "Yes, it does, but it's worth it," Alan replied.
"Skye, are you okay?" Ric asked. "Yes, I was just upset to see Blair here," Skye said. "You two share a past?" Ric asked. "Yes, when I lived in Llanview, I was her husband, Max. Mistress, it's not something I'm proud of, but she tried to set me up for trying to kill Max when she did," Skye explained. "Oh," Ric said. "I have a past," Skye added. "We all do. Skye, I'm not perfect either," Ric said. "No, you're not," Skye replied. They shared a kiss as Lorenzo watched, feeling jealous.
"Daddy, fight for Mom. Romance her," Lila Rae said. "Romance?" Lorenzo asked. "Yes, that's what Mom wants," Lila Rae said. "You're right. I was never romantic when Skye and I were together. It's time I am," Lorenzo said. "Yes," Lila Rae agreed.
Skye and Ric were talking when Luis Jr. came by. "Mother," Luis Jr. said. "Luis, I'm proud of this club," Skye said. "Thank you. Why are you here with him?" Luis Jr. asked. "Ric and I are seeing each other," Skye replied. "Mother, you're still married to Father. Besides, you love him, not Ric, who is our father and hates us," Luis Jr. said. "Luis," Skye said as Genevieve approached. "Luis, leave mother alone. She's happy. I do hope this club is the right thing for you," Genevieve said. "This is all your fault. You broke up the family," Luis Jr. accused. "Luis," Genevieve said, reaching for her brother's arm, but he pulled back. "Don't. Genevieve, you're not my sister anymore," Luis Jr. said. "You don't mean that. I'm your little sister who you lied for when it was me who broke the vase," Genevieve said. Lorenzo then came over. "What is going on?" Lorenzo asked. "Nothing, Father. I'm just taking care of the family," Luis Jr. said and left. "Lorenzo, what did you do to our son?" Skye asked. "He just told Genevieve she isn't his sister anymore, and it's your fault our family is broken," she continued. "I will talk to him," Lorenzo said. "Don't. I don't want anything from you," Genevieve said. "Really?" Lorenzo asked. "Yes, I'm going home. I leave in the morning," Genevieve replied. "I will be there to say goodbye," Lorenzo said. "Don't. Goodnight, Mother. Ric," Genevieve said and left. "Lorenzo," Skye said. "I will be there to say goodbye. I'm not going to let Genevieve push me away. She just tried to order a drink," Lorenzo replied. "Wow. Did Genevieve think she could get away with that, with all of us here?" Skye said. "I think she wants to see if I care," Lorenzo added. "Could be," Skye agreed.
Carly watched them and then approached Skye and Ric. "Lorenzo, I just want to say I love your club. Come by for a drink," Carly said. "Sure," Lorenzo replied, glancing back at Skye before he left.
