Finding You Part 8, Chapter 41 —
At Skye's House — The next day, Skye was having some coffee and reading the newspaper when there was a knock on the door. Skye opened it to find a man holding a rose. "Mrs. Alcazar," the man said. "Yes, that's me. Thank you," Skye replied, she tipped the man, and he left. Skye picked up the card that was inside the flowers. "Good morning, Skye. Last night was wonderful. I hope you love it. More to come, I promise. Love always, Lorenzo."
The door was still open when Lila Rae came in. "Mother, who sent you the rose?" Lila Rae asked. "Your father," Skye replied. "Really? What is going on?" Lila Rae asked. "Why don't I get ready for breakfast, and then we can talk there," Skye suggested. "Sure, Mother," Lila Rae said. "I'll ask Skylar and Luis to join us, too," Skye added. "Okay," Lila Rae agreed. Skye went upstairs as the doorbell rang. Lila Rae opened it to find Ric. "Ric," Lila Rae said. "Lila Rae, is your mother here?" Ric asked. "She's upstairs with Daddy. They are back together, so you can leave," Lila Rae replied. "Really?" Ric asked. "Yes, my mother loves my father. Your efforts only made my father jealous," Lila Rae explained. "I don't believe you," Ric said as Skye came in. "What is going on?" Skye asked. "Lila Rae was just telling me that you and Lorenzo are back together," Ric said. "Lila Rae," Skye said. "Well, Daddy did send you the rose. Mother, stop with this dating Ric," Lila Rae said. "I will tell you all about this later, but Ric knows. Ric, why are you here?" Skye asked. "To talk to you about our date. Just be ready at seven," Ric replied. "I will be," Skye said. "You look wonderful, by the way," Ric added. "Thank you. We're just on our way to breakfast," Skye said. "I will walk you out," Ric offered. They left.
At New Haven — Genevieve came home from getting some coffee to find a dozen stuffed teddy bears in her place with a note from Alexander. She picked it up. "Genevieve, do you remember that summer we went to the fair and I won a teddy bear just like this for you? Were you happy?" "I know what you want. You want me to romance you, and I will," Alexander wrote.
"Oh, Alexander," Genevieve said.
