Finding You, Part 8, Chapter 45: At the Lakehouse
Skye knocks on the door as Ric opens it. "What is going on? Why did you ask me to come here?" Skye asked as she entered. "I just bought this lakehouse," Ric said. "Why?" Skye asked. "I used to live here with Alexis, and Molly grew up here," Ric explained. "Jax and I used to live here too," Skye added. "I know. Do you still love him?" Ric asked. "No, I will always miss and care for him, and I feel guilty about Jax being gone, but gradually, I forgive Jax for saving my girls," Skye replied.
"It's not your fault that Faith killed him," Ric said. "I know. I get that you want to be here in this house, but it has too many memories for me," Skye said. "Is it over for us?" Ric asked. "No, not yet. I hope you understand," Skye responded. "Yes, I do," Ric said. "Thank you," Skye replied, and they shared a kiss.
"Let's go to breakfast and talk," Skye suggested. "Sure," Ric agreed. Skye's phone rang; it was Skylar. "Skylar, sure, I will be right there," Skye said and hung up. "You have to go," Ric asked. "Yes, I have a feeling Skylar said yes, but why don't I meet you at the hotel in an hour?" Skye asked. "Sure," Ric replied. They shared a kiss.
At General Hospital, Rae was having a checkup with Dr. Kelly. "So, what is it?" Rae asked. "I'm sorry, it's breast cancer, but the good thing is we caught it early, so you will make it," Dr. Kelly said. "Really?" Rae asked. "Yes. I think the best thing for you is to do a double mastectomy and chemotherapy," Dr. Kelly explained. "Can I think about this?" Rae asked. "Yes. Talk to Skye and your family, and come back for a visit," Dr. Kelly responded. "Thank you," Rae said. "Rae, I know it's scary right now, but we caught it early, so you will beat this," Dr. Kelly reassured her. "It's just hard. Can I be a woman without breasts?" Rae asked. "Yes, you can. They have a bra that makes it look like you have them," Dr. Kelly said. "Thanks," Rae responded. "Don't deal with this alone. You need your family," Dr. Kelly advised. "I know," Rae agreed.
At Skylar and Carman's house, Skye, Lila Rae, Lorenzo, Luis, Skylar, and Carman were gathered. "What's your news?" Skye asked. "Like you don't know. Anyway, Carman and I are getting married!" Skylar exclaimed. "That's wonderful! You're going to have the best wedding!" Skye said, hugging her daughter. "Thanks, Mom," Skylar replied. "I'm happy for both of you. Carman, you better make my daughter happy," Lorenzo said. "I will, sir," Carman responded. "Sis, I'm happy for you," Luis said. "Yes, we are," Lila Rae added. "Thanks. I want you, Lila Rae, and Genevieve at the wedding," Skylar said. "Did you call Genevieve and tell her the news?" Skye asked. "I tried, but she didn't pick up her phone," Skylar replied. "Genevieve called me last night," Lorenzo mentioned. "Me too. She wants us to come out there," Skye said. "Really?" Skylar asked. "Yes, just Lorenzo and I. I think she's lonely and misses Alexander," Skye noted. "I hope she fixes it before it's too late," Skylar said. "Me too. She just wants Alexander to romance her," Skye added. "Really? Why doesn't she just tell her?" Skylar asked. "Yeah, us men can't read minds," Carman added. "No," Luis Jr said. "I don't know. Skylar, I want to help you with the wedding," Skye said. "Thanks, Mom, and thank you all for coming. Carman and I have to go to work," Skylar said. "Yes, I'm meeting Ric for breakfast," Skye noted. "Nice," Lorenzo said. "Mom, just stop this game and pick Father," Luis Jr urged. "Luis, it's not a game. And tell your sister Genevieve you love her," Skye said. "Really? How will I know she doesn't say it?" Luis Jr questioned. "She doesn't say it to anyone—just I do," Skye explained. "Yep, we just have to accept Genevieve for who she is," Skylar agreed. "Yes," Skye confirmed.
