Finding You Part 8, Chapter 19

Alexis was sitting on the couch, looking at a picture of Anastasia when there was a knock on the door. "Come in," Alexis said. Genevieve entered. "Genevieve," Alexis said, "I just want to say how sorry I am about Anastasia. I like her and look up to her, and I admire her strength." Genevieve sat down beside Alexis. "Yes, she was strong. Thank you," Alexis replied. "Don't thank me; it's my fault she died," Genevieve said. "Why do you say that?" Alexis asked. "I helped get Anastasia the job at the hospital," Genevieve explained. "Oh, Genevieve, it's not your fault. I'm glad Anastasia stayed here, and I got to know her," Alexis said. "Yeah, I'm sure she liked you too and considered you like a mother. You're strong and a smart businesswoman. Don't let any man control you," Genevieve advised. "Genevieve, your mother is also a smart businesswoman. She just has bad luck in love. I did too at one point. Kristina's father was just like yours. I don't regret Kristina, but I regret falling in love with him. We all make mistakes in love," Alexis reflected. "Not me," Genevieve said. "No, Alexander is a great catch," Alexis replied. "Yes, he is. So, you and my mother are close now?" Genevieve asked as the doorbell rang—it was Kristin. "Why are you here?" Alexis inquired. "To talk to you," Kristin said. Genevieve stood up. "So, you hit your own daughter with your car. You're going down for this," Genevieve said. "I didn't hit Anastasia," Kristin insisted. "Really? Then who did?" Genevieve asked. "Genevieve, thanks for stopping by. I need to talk to my mother alone," Alexis said. "Sure, call me if you need anything," Genevieve replied. "I will," Alexis said. Genevieve left.

"Alexis, I know it was you who hit Anastasia, but I'm finally going to do the right thing by you, and I'm going to take the fall," Kristin confessed. "Why?" Alexis asked. "Because I love you, and I owe you for hurting you in the past. I want to make it right," Kristin explained. "I hate myself," Alexis admitted. Kristin hugged her. "I know it's not your fault," Kristin said. As Skye entered, she asked, "What is going on?" "I know that it was Alexis who hit Anastasia, and I'm going to confess," Kristin admitted. "Really?" Skye asked. "Yes, it's time I do the right thing by all my daughters," Kristin affirmed. "How can we trust you?" Skye questioned. "You never could trust anyone," Kristin responded. "That's because of you," Skye retorted. "I know. I'm sorry I hurt all of you," Kristin said. "I just want Anastasia to be here," Skye expressed. "We all do," Alexis agreed. "Yes, we do. It's time to make it right," Kristin proclaimed. They all left.

At Carly's house, Carly was throwing everything that was glass when Josslyn came in. "Mother, what are you doing?" Josslyn asked. "Skye stole my hotel! Now I have nothing! You need to take your father's company from her!" Carly exclaimed. "Mother, I'm sorry about that. I, but I'm not going to take Daddy's company. I don't want it," Josslyn said. "Then what will you do?" Carly asked. "I don't know. I'm sure you'll find something. You are a survivor," Josslyn replied. "You're right. I'm a survivor," Carly agreed. "Yes, Mother. I've heard the story how you picked yourself up and made a new life for yourself all the time," Josslyn said. "I will," Carly promised.
