Finding You Part 8, Chapter 42 — At The Quartermaine Hotel — Skye was having breakfast with Skylar and Lila Rae. "I thought Luis Jr was coming," Skylar asked. 'So did I. Maybe he was mad at me too," Skye said. "Anyway, Mother, what is going on?" Lila Rae asked. "I asked Lorenzo and Ric to romance me for four months, and then I will make my choice," Skye said. "Really?" Skylar asked. "Yes, I'm not going to sleep with either of them," Skye said. "So, who did you date last night?" Lila Rae asked. "Your father," Skye said. "Was it romance?" Lila Rae asked. "Yes, Lorenzo took me to a restaurant he rented just for us and then a horse carriage ride," Skye explained. "Wow, it sounds romantic," Lila Rae said. "Yes, Lorenzo used to be romantic, but life got in the way when we were married," Skye added. "Can you do this, Mother?" Skylar asked. "Yes, I can," Skye replied as her phone rang. "It's Genevieve," Skye said, answering the call. "Genevieve, how are you? Oh Genevieve, you sure tell Alexander he's not a mind reader—yes, we want men to read our minds, but they can't," Skye said and hung up. "What is it?" Skylar asked. "Well, ever since Genevieve broke up with Alexander, he's been sending her romantic gifts: a dozen gardenias yesterday and today, twelve teddy bears—just like the ones Alexander won for her at the fair when they were little," Skye explained. "So Genevieve just wants Alexander to be more romantic," Skylar said. "Yes, I hope it works," Skye replied. "I'm surprised Alexander just doesn't give up," Lila Rae said. "I know your sister can be hard, but we can't give up on her," Skye responded. "I know, Mother. I do hope you pick Daddy," Lila Rae said. "I know, Lila Rae. You want me with your father," Skye said. "Skylar, what about you?" Skye asked. "Mother, whatever you pick, I will support you," Skylar replied. "Thanks. So, how is the art gallery?" Skye asked. "It's great," Skylar said. "What about Carman?" Skye inquired. "Good," Skylar answered. "That's good," Skye said. — At Lorenzo's — Lorenzo was having coffee when Carman entered. "Carman, what do you want?" Lorenzo asked. "I came to ask your permission to marry Skylar. I love her, sir," Carman said. "You have my permission. You're a good guy for my Skylar; you're going to be a doctor, and I know my daughter loves you," Lorenzo replied. "I love Skylar too, no matter what," Carman said. "Good. So, when are you asking Skylar?" Lorenzo asked. "Tonight," Carman said. "Good. I hope Skylar says yes," Lorenzo responded. "Thanks to me too," Carman said as Skye entered. "What is going on?" Skye asked. "I'm going to ask Skylar to marry me," Carman announced. "Oh, that's wonderful! I know you will make our little girl happy. Do you have the ring with you?" Skye asked. "Yes, I do," Carman said, pulling out the ring to show them. "Oh, Carman, it's beautiful. I know Skylar will say yes," Skye said. "I hope so. I'll go now," Carman said and left. "Skye, why are you here?" Lorenzo asked. "To thank you for the rose," Skye said. "You're welcome," Lorenzo replied as his phone rang. "I have to take this," Lorenzo said, answering his phone. "Lorenzo Alcazar. Yes, please try to take the package before they arrive at my daughter's place. Thank you," Lorenzo said, then hung up. "What was that?" Skye asked. "Alexander keeps sending Genevieve packages," Lorenzo explained. "I know, Genevieve told me about it. She wants Alexander to romance her," Skye said. "Really?" Lorenzo asked. "Yes, leave it alone. You want to fix things between you and Genevieve," Skye stated. "Fine. Anyway, did you like our date last night?" Lorenzo asked, moving close to Skye. "Yes, I did, Lorenzo," Skye replied, and he kissed her. "Oh, Lorenzo, four months, and then I will know who I want," Skye said. "We know you want me, not Ric," Lorenzo said. "I have to go," Skye said and left.
