Finding You, Genevieve Chapter 18
Genevieve's office—Genevieve was in her office looking out the window, thinking about Alexander's return to town. Flashback—Genevieve was at home getting ready to leave when there was a knock at the door. It was Alexander. "Why are you here?" Genevieve asked. "I want to see you. Last night was great," Alexander said. "Great! You raped me!" Genevieve yelled. "Stop! I didn't rape you! We made love just like we always did," Alexander replied. "No, we didn't. Get out. I don't want you here anymore. I don't love you," Genevieve said. "Yes, you do. I'm the only one who knows you," Alexander claimed. He touched her cheek and pulled her in, but she pulled away. "I'm sorry I left you, I..." Alexander started. "When you walk out, it ends us," Genevieve cut him off. "No, it's not over. I will be back," Alexander said before leaving.
Genevieve wiped her tears. "Pull yourself together," she told herself.
At the warehouse—Luis Jr was there. "Do you know what happened to it?" he asked. "No, I don't," the man replied. "This isn't good," Luis Jr said.
At Skye and Lorenzo's—Skye and Lorenzo were sitting on the couch talking. "I'm sorry about our daughter," Lorenzo said. "I try to get her to open up to me. I still think she loves Alexander and wishes she was raised by Bianca," Skye replied. "I think Genevieve does love Bianca, but I don't think she regrets giving her up. Genevieve loves her career too much," Lorenzo said. "Yes, she does. I wish she would open up to me as Lila Rae and Skylar do," Skye added. "I know," Lorenzo responded as Bianca entered.
"Bianca, what can we do for you?" Lorenzo asked. "I was wondering if you have any pictures of Genevieve when she was little," Bianca said. "Yes, I do. I will get them," Skye said, getting up and leaving. "Bianca, can I get you anything?" Lorenzo asked. "No, thanks. Do you hate that Genevieve is a lawyer?" Bianca asked. "I'm proud of my daughter, but I do wish she had a different career," Lorenzo replied. "Because of what you are do?" Bianca asked. "Yes," Lorenzo confirmed. Skye came in with a book. "How was shopping?" she asked. "Great," Bianca said. They sat down and looked at the pictures. "This is a picture of Genevieve and Skylar; it was their 12th birthday party," Skye explained. Genevieve was sitting by a boy. "Is that Alexander?" Bianca asked. "Yes, they knew each other when they were young. They always liked each other. They shared their first kiss when they were only ten," Skye said. "Really?" Bianca asked. "It was just a kiss on the cheek," Lorenzo added. "Yes, Alexander was a polite kid then," Skye said. "That's kind of cool that they knew each other so young," Bianca said. "Yes, it is. Do you want this picture?" Skye asked. "Can I?" Bianca asked. "Sure," Skye replied. Lila Rae came in. "What is going on?" she asked. "I'm showing Bianca some pictures of your sister," Skye explained.
At the mayor's office—Genevieve entered. "Sir, can we talk?" she asked. "Sure, what is it?" the mayor responded. "I have everything we need to take down my father and brother," Genevieve said. "Are you sure?" the mayor asked. "Yes, they broke the law by drug trafficking," she affirmed. "Alright, I will talk to the DA, and we will arrest them," the mayor said. "I want this case," Genevieve insisted. "Are you sure?" the mayor asked. "Yes, this kind of case can make my career," Genevieve reaffirmed. "Yes, but it's your family," the mayor noted. "I don't care," Genevieve replied. "Alright, you have it," the mayor agreed, and they shook hands.
At The Empire—Victor was working when he pulled out a drawer and found a picture of him and his brother. "Alexander, I'm so glad you're gone," Victor said. His phone rang. He put the picture away, picked up, and saw it was Genevieve. He did love her and wished she would want to get married. "Genevieve? Yes, I will meet you there," Victor said and hung up.
