Finding You: Genevieve's Story Chapter 26 — Genevieve's Penthouse — Genevieve was in her room standing up, working on her opening statement. "You're, honor, and jury, we are here to put two criminals," Genevieve said, crying a little. "Don't cry, Genevieve, you can't cry in court," she told herself and lay on the bed, falling asleep due to tiredness. When Victor entered, he said, "Darling, I have condoms," as he looked at her sleeping, still wearing her glasses. He gently removed her glasses, covered her with a blanket, and kissed her on the cheek. "I love you," Victor said before changing into his pajamas and lying on his side of the bed.

At Lila Rae/Morgan — Morgan and Lila Rae were having dinner with Bianca and Raelyn. "Thanks for having me over," Bianca said. "You're welcome. We're glad you and Raelyn are getting close," Lila Rae replied. "Me too," Bianca responded. "Yes, we had fun shopping," Raelyn added. "Do you girls want to talk about the case?" Lila Rae asked. "You're upset with Genevieve, aren't you?" Bianca inquired. "I understand she's upset about what my father and brother did. Yes, it was wrong. I just don't want to lose them," Lila Rae explained. "It's not an easy life," Raelyn said, exchanging looks with Morgan. "No, it's not," Morgan agreed. "Well, we're going to watch some movies we rented," Raelyn said as they left. "Do you think Raelyn feels the same way Genevieve does?" Morgan asked. "It's not easy knowing your father is in this kind of business—that he kills people for a living and doesn't care," Lila Rae responded.

"You know who I was before we married," Morgan said. "Yes, and it cost me a lot too. Our baby boy," Lila Rae said, crying. "That was my fault, and I live with it every day," Morgan admitted. "So do I," Lila Rae agreed.

Raelyn and Bianca were in the movie room. "It's not an easy life knowing you're father is a killer," Raelyn said. "You hate it, don't you?" Bianca asked. "Yes, I do. After the summer, I'm going to college. I just need a break from this. I've always looked up to Aunt Genevieve—how strong she is," Raelyn explained. "I like that about her too," Bianca said. "Have you thought about her as your mother?" Raelyn asked. "I can't. The woman who raised me is my mother," Bianca replied. "I get that," Raelyn said. "Is this life your father lives hard on you as a mother?" Bianca inquired. "Yes. My mother was pregnant before I was born. We almost lost the baby, it was a boy," Raelyn shared. "How did she lose him?" Bianca asked. "My mother went into a warehouse, and a bomb went off. It nearly tore my parents apart," Raelyn explained. "I'm sorry," Bianca said. "Thanks. It still makes my mother sad," Raelyn replied. "I'm sure it does," Bianca said.

At Genevieve's penthouse — The next day, Genevieve woke up to find Victor not in bed. She thought maybe he had gone back to his place, which sometimes happened after they slept together. She put on her robe and went into the kitchen, finding Victor wearing only pants and making breakfast. "Victor," Genevieve said. "Good morning, Ginny," Victor replied. "What are you doing?" Genevieve asked. "I'm making us breakfast," he said. "I already had food," Genevieve commented. "Yes, you did," Victor responded, handing her some coffee, eggs, and toast. "Oh, Victor—dinner last night and now this," Genevieve said, sitting on the island while Victor sat beside her. "It's okay to let me take care of you sometimes," Victor suggested. "I know, I'm just not used to it," Genevieve admitted. "I understand," he said. "Sorry about last night," Genevieve apologized. "It's okay. We don't have to do it every night," Victor assured her. "We still have time to shower before I meet Alexis," Genevieve mentioned. "You're meeting my aunt?" Victor asked. "Yes, this is my big first case. I need Alexis's advice," Genevieve explained. "You'll win this," Victor encouraged. "Let's go shower," Genevieve suggested, and they headed to the bathroom.

At Skye/Lorenzo's house, she came to pick up some more things but found yellow tape all around and a police officer nearby. "Can I help you?" the officer asked. "No, this is my house. I came to get some things," Skye said. "Mrs. Alcazar, you can't take anything," the officer replied. "What about my clothes and family pictures?" Skye asked as Alexis entered. "All I want are some pictures and clothes," Skye insisted. "I'm sorry, but all this is evidence in the case against your husband and son," Alexis explained. "Even my pictures of my children?" Skye asked. "Yes. If you take anything, I will have to arrest you," Alexis answered. "Fine!" Skye yelled and left.

At Genevieve's, she and Victor had just finished bathing and were choosing clothes for the day. Victor came up to her, leaned her against the wall, and kissed her. "I love you, Genevieve. You're a strong woman who won't let this case change you," Victor said. "I won't—I'll win this, even if it means putting my father and brother in jail," Genevieve declared. "Genevieve, what do you love about me?" Victor asked. "That you support me all the way and love me for who I am," she replied. "Always," Victor assured her. "Why don't we meet tonight downstairs for dinner?" Genevieve suggested. "Sure," Victor agreed. "I'll call you with the time," she said, leaving.
