Finding you, Genevieve, Chapter 40
At the Quartermaine Hotel—Skye walked in and saw her daughter Genevieve with her boyfriend. Skye saw her walk past the table. "So, Genevieve, out celebrating your big win? When your brother and father are in jail, you celebrate too?" Skye asked. "No, Mother, that's not what this is. I'm just having dinner with Victor, that's all," Genevieve replied. "If your father and brother are killed in jail, I can never forgive you. You say you can't believe I'm your mother because we're nothing alike, but I can't believe you are mine," Skye said. "Enough, Skye," Victor interrupted. "Do you know she still loves Alexander? Today she asked Lorenzo if he killed him," Skye said. Victor looked upset, and Skye could tell. "Well, I'll go and let you two lovebirds sort this out," Skye said and headed to her table. "Victor, it meant nothing. I was just hoping that now Daddy has nothing to lose, he would finally admit it was him," Genevieve explained. "You don't love him anymore?" Victor asked. "He's a ghost. How can I love him?" Genevieve said, and Victor kissed her. "What was that for?" Genevieve asked. "To show your mother she can't get to us—that's what she's trying to do," Victor explained. "Has she?" Genevieve asked. "No," Victor replied. "Good, I think I'll call Bianca to check on her," Genevieve said and picked up her phone.
At the police station—Lorenzo and Luis Jr. were in their cell, about to be transferred to Stateville when a man approached. "It's all set, sir," the man said. "Good. Don't touch my daughter, Genevieve, or my granddaughter. Leave them alone," Lorenzo said. "Sir, if this was anyone other than your daughter, we would do it," the man replied. "I know. Just leave my daughter alone. I would never kill her, and she knows that if I did, I'd lose Skye for good," Lorenzo said. "Yes, sir," the man replied and left as two officers entered. "Really, to go to your home?" the cops asked and took them outside to a van.
On the docks—Bianca was walking when she heard her phone ring. She reached into her bag and saw it was Genevieve. "Bianca, come meet Victor and me at the hotel," Genevieve said. "Sure, I'm at the docks. I will be there soon," Bianca answered, just as someone approached and shot her. "Bianca!" Genevieve yelled into the phone.
At the Quartermaine Hotel—"Genevieve," Victor said as he took her phone. "Bianca was shot at the docks. We have to call 911. I can't lose her," Genevieve said. "I will call them on our way," Victor replied. Skye came by. "Genevieve, what is it?" Skye asked. "Like you care, but my daughter was just shot at! If this was Daddy's way of telling me to back off, I swear I hope he does get killed in jail!" Genevieve yelled. "No, your father wouldn't do that," Skye said. "I don't have time for this. I need to get to Bianca now," Genevieve said and left.
