Finding you, Genevieve, chapter 29 — At the Quartermaines — Skye came into the den and poured herself some wine when AJ entered. "Skye," AJ said, "I hate this! I hate that my daughter, husband, and son are hurting over this! I hate that my daughter wants to put them away, and I hate that I chose my husband again!" Skye yelled and threw her glass of wine. "Do you feel better?" AJ asked. "No, I don't feel better. I knew when Genevieve told me she wanted to be a lawyer that this would happen someday, but I pray it never would. I'm a bad mother for choosing my husband over my daughter," Skye asked. "Skye, I know it's hard and that you love him, but if I were in your shoes, I would side with Genevieve. She's doing the right thing; Lorenzo and Luis Jr. were selling drugs," AJ asked. "AJ," Skye said. "We both know it's not the first time Lorenzo did this," AJ said. "No, it's not. I wish my love for Lorenzo would change him," Skye said. "I know," AJ replied. "Even if Genevieve loses this case, things between her and Lorenzo will never be the same," Skye said. "No, they will not," AJ affirmed.

At Genevieve's office, Genevieve was reviewing more evidence of her father's past crimes and found the case regarding the hotel bombing when Alexis entered. "Genevieve," Alexis said. "Alexis, I was just looking over this. So why did Lorenzo go to jail for the hotel bombing?" Genevieve asked. "Your father faked being sick to get out of it," Alexis said. "What a coward. My grandfather had a heart attack while he was there, and my family thought he was dead for years," Genevieve said. "Yes, because of your father," Alexis replied. "I just don't understand how I could come from someone so cold," Genevieve said. "I believe he loved you; I've seen it," Alexis said. "When Skylar and I were kidnapped because of him, and the man who saved us died," Genevieve said. "Jax—yes, he saved you both," Alexis confirmed. "Jax was married to my mother, wasn't he?" Genevieve asked. "Yes," Alexis said. "You loved him too," Genevieve said. "Yes, we were married in name only, but I loved him; he was my best friend," Alexis responded. "I'm sorry," Genevieve said. "It's okay. You're not to blame for his mistakes," Alexis assured. "I know. I need to see my family—the Quartermaines," Genevieve stated. "Have you seen your mother?" Alexis asked. "Yes, she chose him," Genevieve said and left.

At Luis's jail cell, Josslyn visited. "Josslyn," Luis said. "Luis, I'm breaking up with you. I can't handle this anymore," Josslyn replied. "Josslyn," Luis said. "Don't, I'm sorry, but I just can't do this. In a way, your father is responsible for my father's death," Josslyn explained. "Yes, I heard," Luis Jr said. "You know about the drugs, don't you?" Josslyn asked. Luis Jr. merely looked at Josslyn, and she left.
