Finding you, Genevieve, Chapter 5
At the police station, Morgan was being fingerprinted and taking a mugshot when Lila Rae entered. "Genevieve, did you arrest my husband?" Lila Rae asked. "I didn't do this; Morgan did it to himself," Genevieve replied. "What is the charge?" Lila Rae inquired. "Racketeering. I have plenty of proof. You might want to hire your husband the best lawyer; he's going to need it," Genevieve said and walked away as Skye approached. "Lila Rae, what's going on?" Skye asked. "Who called you?" Lila Rae responded. "Genevieve told me you might need me, so what is it?" Skye asked. "Genevieve is arresting my husband. Now I could lose him! I know she was going to go after Morgan," Lila Rae said. "I'm sorry," Skye replied. "I need to see my husband," Lila Rae added. Genevieve came over. "Lila Rae, you can go see Morgan. This officer will take you," Genevieve said. "Thank you. I will never forgive you for this," Lila Rae responded. "We were never close anyway," Genevieve said. Lila Rae left. "So you used Morgan to get evidence against your own father, didn't you? And you lied to Morgan, saying she wouldn't go after him, but it was a lie," Skye accused. "I did what I had to do. I did nothing wrong; Morgan did by racketeering," Genevieve insisted as Carly and Josslyn entered. "I want my son out of here," Carly demanded. "I don't think so. Morgan is going to jail; I have all the evidence I need. He'll need a great lawyer, but it won't help," Genevieve declared. "How dare you! Skye, I hope you're proud of your daughter—first she arrests her brother and father, and now this," Carly scolded. "Actually, I am," Skye admitted, marking the first time she expressed pride in Genevieve as a lawyer. "Mother, let's go see Morgan," Josslyn said as they left. "Genevieve," Skye called. "I know you were just saying that," Genevieve responded. "No, I mean it," Skye said. "I need to work on this case," Genevieve stated. "Sure. I hope you say yes to Victor; he loves you. He's not Alexander," Skye added. "I know," Genevieve replied and left.

In Morgan's cell, Lila Rae entered. "Lila Rae, I'm sorry," Morgan said. "Did you do this?" Lila Rae asked. "Yes, I did," Morgan admitted. "Oh, Morgan, how could you? I know you were in the mob. I love you anyway, but this?" Lila Rae responded. "I did this to give our daughter a better life," Morgan explained as Carly and Josslyn approached. "So, you did this?" Josslyn questioned. "Yes," Morgan confirmed. "It doesn't matter; we will stand by Morgan and help him through this," Carly asserted. "Speak for yourself," Josslyn said. "Josslyn," Carly scolded. "I didn't stand by Luis Jr., and I won't stand by you," Josslyn declared. "It's okay. I get it," Morgan said. Josslyn left. "I will hire you a great lawyer," Carly offered. "Thanks, Mother. Lila Rae?" Morgan asked. "It's over; it's been over for us since my father's trial," Lila Rae said. "Yes, it has," Morgan confirmed. "I hate that you're behind bars," Lila Rae said and left. "Morgan," Carly called. "Mother, don't fight this. It's time I just deal with it and go to jail for what I did," Morgan said. "You're just going to give up? What about Raelyn?" Carly pressed. "She will hate me soon, just watch over my daughter," Morgan replied. "I will," Carly promised.

At Genevieve's penthouse, Genevieve arrived after checking on her daughter and found Victor waiting. "So, Genevieve, what's it going to be? Sure I pack myself and go back to my house, or are we getting a house together?" Victor asked. "There's a lot to think about—my dog Princess, who will pay for what, and what kind of house?" Genevieve inquired. "We will share the expenses. We both have our own money, and Princess can come with us," Victor said, touching Genevieve's hair. "Why do you want this?" Genevieve asked. "I have to accept that we won't have a child or marriage. I just want something more than control in our bedroom," Victor explained. "What if it changes us, and we end up fighting and breaking up?" Genevieve wondered. "We've always worked things out; this won't change us—just new things for our relationship," Victor reassured. "Victor, I'm scared, and it has nothing to do with Alexander," Genevieve admitted. "I know, but I haven't hurt you, have I?" Victor asked. "No, you're my rock," she responded. "I want to be your rock, so what's it going to be?" Victor pressed. "If I say yes, I want to keep this penthouse, just in case," Genevieve said. "Fine," Victor agreed. "Alright, we can buy a place together," Genevieve proposed. "You won't regret this," Victor promised. "I better not. Victor, I do love you," Genevieve declared. "I love you too," Victor said, kissing her as her phone rang. "I have to take that. We're arresting Morgan tonight," Genevieve announced, answering her phone. "Genevieve Quartermaine," she said. "Yes, we did," she confirmed as Victor came closer and kissed her neck. "Thank you, I will take it," she added, ending the call. "What was that about?" Victor asked. "It was John. He's going to help me with my campaign to run for prosecutor," Genevieve explained. "You don't need his help; you're going to win," Victor said. "If I do win, it will mean a lot of overnight work," she replied. "I know. We both have busy jobs. I would never risk it," Victor said. "Yes, we do," she agreed, kissing him. "Let me tie you up," Victor suggested, and they went into the playroom. Victor tied Genevieve to a post, and they made love. "We'd better have a room like this in our new place," Victor said. "Oh yes," Genevieve responded. "We will be happy; nothing will change," Victor assured. "I hope not," Genevieve hoped.
