Finding You, Genevieve (Chapter 30) ~At The Quartermaine~ Alan, Monica, Skye, Tracy, AJ, and Lydia were having drinks. "Can we not talk about the case tonight?" Skye asked. "Sure," Alan said. "Good, I just want this all to be over with," Skye added. "Soon it will be when Lorenzo and Luis are in jail," Tracy said as Genevieve entered. "I will make sure of that," Genevieve stated. "Genevieve, why are you here?" Skye asked. "To do something even you haven't done—Grandfather, Monica, I want to apologize for what Lorenzo did to both of you—the hotel bombing that took Alan away from this family and led you to believe he was dead," Genevieve explained. "Genevieve, you don't have to apologize for your father—it happened before you were born," Alan replied. "His, not my father," Genevieve said. "You can't change that Lorenzo is your father," Skye added. "I wish I could. I also wish I could change who my mother is. I've heard all the stories about how strong you are, Mother, but I've never seen it. Pick a man who doesn't deserve you or respect you," Genevaive said. "Really, you think that you have better taste in men than I do?" Skye challenged. "Yes, Alexander treats me like a queen, and so does Victor," Genevieve stated. Genevieve was about to leave. "Alexander treats you like a queen," Skye said, touching her daughter's arm. Genevieve looked at her. "Genevieve, why don't you stay for dinner?" Alan asked. "No, thanks. I have a date with Victor, and then I need to work on this case," Genevieve replied, removing Skye's hand from her arm and leaving. "Skye," Alan said. "I hate all this, but yes, I will stand by Lorenzo and Luis Jr. over this. If they both go to jail, they will be killed," Skye said. "Skye, I love you, but I just wish you made a better choice," Alan expressed. "If you want me to go, I will. I'll find somewhere else to live," Skye said. "No, that's not what we want," Alan answered. "No," Monica agreed. "Genevieve is right; I have lost a part of myself, and I don't know how to find her," Skye admitted. "You will find her," Alan assured her. "I hope so," Skye said.
At Genevieve's, Genevieve arrived home to find Bianca there. "Bianca, tomorrow is the court case. Will you be okay?" Genevieve asked. "Yes, I called my parents, and they are going to wait until after all this," Bianca responded. "Oh, what do they think of this?" Genevieve inquired. "They think you are doing the right thing, just like I do," Bianca said. "Thank you. My mother has chosen him over me," Genevieve murmured. "I'm sorry," Bianca said. "It's okay. Are you hungry?" Genevieve asked as Victor entered with food. "I have dinner for all of us," Victor announced. "Oh, Victor! Thank you. I will go get some drinks," Genevieve said and left. "How is she doing?" Victor asked. "Fine, I think," Bianca replied. "This takes a toll on her," Victor observed. "You can't tell," Bianca said. "No," Victor confirmed. Genevieve returned with wine glasses. "Thank you," Bianca said. "You're welcome. So, what did you bring?" Genevieve asked. "I brought us some pasta from downstairs—I know how much you like it," Victor replied. "Yes, I do," Genevieve agreed, and they ate dinner. "I also rented a movie for us to watch together," Victor said. "Victor, I can't. I have to work—my case is tomorrow," Genevieve declined. "And I know you're set for it. You've been working on it for a while, and you will win this, but you need a break," Victor encouraged. Genevieve looked at him. "Ginny," Victor said. "Fine, I'm going to change," Genevieve said and left. "Victor, are you okay?" Bianca asked. "I'm just worried. Your mother and grandfather never were close, and Genevieve claimed it was okay with her, but it was an act," Victor explained. "Everyone wants to be close to their parents," Bianca said. "Yes," Victor agreed. Genevieve came in wearing pants and Victor's shirt. "You're wearing my shirt," Victor noted. "Yes," Genevieve replied, kissing Victor before they sat down on the couch to watch a movie with Bianca. Victor held Genevieve in his arms, and she whispered into his ear. "Thank you, I did need this," Genevieve said, kissing him on the cheek. "You're welcome," Victor replied.
