Finding You, Genevieve, Chapter 23
At Genevieve's office — She was working on the case when Morgan came in and closed the door. "We need to talk," Morgan said. "Yes, we do. You better do your part as my witness in this case," Genevieve replied. "I will if you look the other way," Morgan said. "I will," Genevieve responded. "Good. We both have a lot to gain," Morgan said. "Yes, we do, and a lot to lose. You need to tell Lila about this," Genevieve said. "I will tell my wife; she needs to hear this from me," Morgan replied. "Just be careful. I can't lose you," Genevieve said. "I don't think your father or brother will take me out now," Morgan said. "True," Genevieve agreed. "Well, I sure hope not," Morgan said and then left.
At the Quartermaine estate, Skye entered the den. "Skye, what is it? You look upset," Alan asked. "My son and my husband were arrested tonight, and my daughter, Genevieve, is the prosecutor on the case," Skye explained. "Oh no," Alan said. "Yes, Daddy, it's bad. Genevieve and Lorenzo never got along, and now Lorenzo told Genevieve to change her last name—that she's not his daughter anymore," Skye explained. "That had to hurt Genevieve," Alan said. "I don't know. You know my daughter—she doesn't let anyone in. I don't know what to do," Skye admitted. "What were they arrested for?" Alan asked. "Drug trafficking," Skye replied. "Oh, Skye, this isn't good," Alan said. "I know. I hate that my son is involved in this," Skye added. "Do you want to stay here?" Alan asked. "Yes, please," Skye responded. "Anytime. This is your home too," Alan said. "Thanks," Skye said and went upstairs. Alan picked up a picture of Lila. "Oh, Mother, what do I do?" he asked.
At Lorenzo's cell — Lorenzo sat, looking at a picture of Genevieve. "How could you do this to me, Genevieve?" he asked, ripping up the photo.
At Luis Jr.'s cell — Josslyn came by. "Luis, did you do this?" Josslyn asked. "If you want out, just let me know," Luis Jr. replied. "I just need some time," Josslyn said. "I just wish my sister didn't do this," Luis Jr. admitted. "I know," Josslyn said.
