Finding you, Genevieve, chapter 19
At Skye and Lorenzo's—Lila Rae and Skye were showing Bianca some pictures and bonding. "I do look like her," Bianca said. "Yes, you do. You have her hair," Skye replied. "You want Genevieve to keep me, don't you?" Bianca asked. "Yes, I do," Skye answered. "We all did, but Genevieve did what she had to do. I do believe my sister loves you," Lila Rae added. "Are you and Genevieve close?" Bianca asked. "No, Genevieve and I aren't close. She thinks I could've done better and married someone else," Lila Rae explained. "Oh," Bianca said as Genevieve entered. "What is going on?" Genevieve asked, feeling jealous that Lila Rae was bonding with her daughter. "Nothing, we're just looking at pictures," Skye said. "Picture?" Genevieve asked. "Yes, I want to see a picture of you. I didn't see any at your place," Bianca requested. "No, I don't have any," Genevieve replied, looking at the picture Bianca was holding. "Where did you get that?" Genevieve asked. "I gave it to Bianca," Skye said. "You and Alexander look happy," Bianca remarked. "Yes, we were back then. Alexander just gave me a beautiful bracelet. I thanked him, even though my father didn't think it was appropriate for me to have it," Genevieve said, glancing at Lorenzo. "You were only 12 years old—a little young to have a diamond bracelet," Lorenzo commented. "Do you still have it?" Bianca inquired. "I think so. I'll look at it at home. Mother, can I talk to you?" Genevieve asked, and they went to talk. "Mother, I'm sorry about this morning. I do love you, and I like that you're my mother. I don't want you to hate me. I do love this family," Genevieve said. "Genevieve, I love you too. What's going on?" Skye asked. "I can't say. Just don't hate me," Genevieve pleaded. "I would never hate you. You're my baby," Skye assured her, sharing a hug as Skylar, Luis Jr., Morgan, and Rae arrived. "Well, it looks like everyone is here for dinner," Lorenzo said. "Not everyone. I thought Victor was coming," Lila Rae commented. "Victor could be busy; he has a powerful job," Genevieve added. "Yes, I do," Victor said as he entered. "Victor," Genevieve greeted, kissing him. "I told you I would be here," Victor said. "Yes, you did," Genevieve responded. Everyone moved into the dining room as Genevieve stopped Victor. "What is it, Ginny?" Victor asked. "Just promise me you won't hate me," Genevieve said. "I won't. What is it?" Victor inquired. "We can talk later. I just can't lose you," Genevieve replied. Victor touched her hair. "Why is that?" Victor asked. "I said it already," Genevieve said. "So I want to hear you say it again," Victor urged. "I love you, Victor Cassadine," Genevieve admitted. "I love you too, Genevieve Rae Alcazar. And whatever you have to tell me that will not change," Victor assured her. "I hope not," Genevieve whispered. Meanwhile, in Lorenzo and Skye's dining room, Skylar, Lila Rae, Morgan, Raelyn, Bianca, Skye, Lorenzo, and Luis Jr. were gathered. "I wonder what's going on with Genevieve," Lila Rae wondered. "Who knows," Luis Jr. replied as Genevieve and Victor entered. "Sorry," Genevieve said. "It's okay," Skye responded. "So, Aunt Skylar, where is your husband? I'd like to meet him," Bianca asked. "My husband is busy; he's a doctor," Skylar explained. "Oh. Do you have any children?" Bianca queried. "Aunt Skylar is a great painter. You should see her art," Genevieve said. "Yes, I do, no, Carmen, and I don't have children," Skylar clarified. "Oh," Bianca responded. "So, Luis, where is Josslyn? Did you two break up?" Genevieve asked. "I know you'd love that, sis, but no," Luis Jr. replied. "Oh," Genevieve said. "Why don't we just have a nice family dinner? Your mother worked hard on this," Lorenzo suggested. "All I did was tell the cook what to make, but thank you, Lorenzo," Skye said. "You're welcome," Lorenzo replied. "Bianca, I'm having a fundraiser at the hotel. I hope you'll come. I host it every year," Skye announced. "The fundraiser?" Genevieve said, looking sad. "Are you okay?" Skye asked. "Yes," Genevieve assured her. "When's the fundraiser?" Bianca asked. "In a couple of weeks," Skye responded. "I'd love to come. What do I have to wear?" Bianca queried. "It's the black and white ball," Skye said. Victor took Genevieve's hand. "Are you okay?" Victor asked softly. "Yes," Genevieve said. "We should go if we want to make the movie," Raelyn suggested. "Yes," Bianca agreed. "Thank you, Grandmother and Grandfather," Raelyn added. "You're welcome," Skye responded. "Bianca, stay safe," Genevieve said. "I will," Bianca promised. "We should go," Victor said, helping Genevieve up. "Skylar," Genevieve called. "I'm fine. Let Bianca in. I wish I could have a child. Don't blow it, sis," Skylar said. "I will try," Genevieve responded as they shared a hug before Genevieve and Victor left. "Something is going on," Lorenzo said. "Yes. Lorenzo, are you up to something with our son?" Skye asked. "Why are you asking?" Lorenzo countered. "Genevieve told me not to hate her. Lorenzo, if something's going on, you better tell me now," Skye insisted. "Luis and I shipped something for a friend in the business, but the packaging is gone," Lorenzo revealed. "No," Skye said. "It's going to be okay. Our daughter will not arrest me," Lorenzo assured. "You think that?" Skye questioned.
