Finding you, Genevieve, chapter 46
At Genevieve's house, Genevieve was in the kitchen wearing her robe. She had just hung up the phone with the hospital when Victor came in, wearing just boxers. "Good morning, how is Bianca?" Victor asked as he poured himself some coffee. "Bianca is good. She's sleeping," Genevieve replied. Victor came over and pulled her in. "How is her mother?" Victor asked. "Great, thanks to her boyfriend," Genevieve said. "He must be a great guy," Victor commented. "Yes, he's sexy and smart too," Genevieve added, touching his hair. "He also wants you to move in with him," Victor said. "You're not going to let this go, are you?" Genevieve asked. "No," Victor replied. "I like this house. It's my home," Genevieve said. "Home? You haven't even decorated it," Victor pointed out. "I'm not the decorating kind," Genevieve responded. "No, you're not," Victor agreed. "If I say no, is it over?" Genevieve asked. "Yes, Genevieve," Victor confirmed. "Does it have to be Wyndemere?" Genevieve inquired. "Why don't you want to stay at Wyndemere?" Victor questioned. "That's where Alexander and I was going to live with our daughter. I can't," Genevieve explained. "You need to let him go," Victor advised. "I have, I just can't live in a house I was going to share with him," Genevieve admitted. "I'm not going to give up Wyndemere, not even for you," Victor declared. Just then, there was a knock at the door. "Just get it," Victor said. Genevieve went to answer it—it was Skye. "What do you want?" Genevieve asked. Skye entered and could tell Genevieve and Victor were upset. "I'm sorry if I came at a bad time. I'm having breakfast with your sisters and brother downstairs and I'd like you to join us," Skye said. "Now isn't a good time," Genevieve replied. "It's fine, Ginny. Go. I have to get ready and go to the office," Victor said. "Victor," Genevieve called. "I'm going to shower. I'm sure you'll be gone before I get out," Victor said, kissing her on the cheek before heading to the bathroom. "Genevieve, are you okay?" Skye asked. "Yes, I'll go get ready too. Thank goodness I have an extra bathroom here," Genevieve responded. "Alright, I'll see you downstairs," Skye said and left. Genevieve moved into the bathroom where Victor was shaving his beard. She took the razor from him and shaved him herself. "I don't love him anymore," Genevieve said. Victor took the razor back. "I want to believe that, but I don't. Now just use your bathroom and let me get ready," Victor replied. "Victor," Genevieve called. "Genevieve, just please give me space right now," Victor pleaded. Genevieve left the bathroom and went into her own.
