Finding You, Genevieve, Chapter 34
At the courtroom, Alan, Monica, AJ, Skylar, Carman, Lila Rae, Morgan, Bianca, Raelyn, Skye, Rae, Victor, and Genevieve were present as Lorenzo and Luis Jr. entered, and everyone stood up as the judge came in. "Are both parties ready to get started?" the judge asked. "Yes, Your Honor," Peter replied. "Yes," Genevieve said. "Ms. Quartermaine, do you have a witness you would like to call?" the judge asked. "Yes, today I would like to call my first witness of the day, Skye Alcazar, to the stand," Genevieve said. "You're honor, she is married to my client; a wife cannot testify against her husband," Peter interjected. "I'm aware of the law, but I will allow it," the judge responded. Skye swore in as a witness. "Mrs. Alcazar, when you first learned you were pregnant with your daughter Lila Rae, did you try to run away from Lorenzo Alcazar?" Genevieve asked. "Yes, I did," Skye replied. "How did Mr. Alcazar find you?" Genevieve asked. "I don't know," Skye answered. "Did you give birth to Lila Rae in the middle of nowhere with no doctor around?" Genevieve inquired. "Yes, it was just Lorenzo and me," Skye said. "Did you also give birth to a baby boy?" Genevieve asked. "Yes. He wasn't doing well, so I stayed with him while Lorenzo went to get help," Skye explained. "What happened next?" Genevieve asked. "I passed out, and when Lorenzo returned with the doctor, I woke up to find my son gone," Skye said. "Who took your son?" Genevieve questioned. "We thought he had died, but he didn't," Skye answered. "Who took him?" Genevieve pressed. "Lorenzo's brother Luis and his wife Brenda," Skye revealed. "When did you get your son back?" Genevieve asked. "When Luis Jr. was six years old, he returned with Brenda," Skye responded. "Did you blame Lorenzo for this?" Genevieve asked. "Yes," Skye admitted. "After you gave birth to Lila Rae and Luis, you came back to town and tried to make it work with Lorenzo, didn't you?" Genevieve asked. "Yes," Skye confirmed. "Did Lorenzo take your daughter Lila Rae from you?" Genevieve continued. "That was a long time ago," Skye replied. "Mrs. Alcazar, you are under oath, and you have to answer," Genevieve said. "Yes, Lorenzo took Lila Rae from me," Skye said, wiping her tears. "Did you get Lila Rae back?" Genevieve questioned. "Yes, I did," Skye answered. "What happened that night you got Lila Rae back? Did someone named Jason Morgan break into your house and shoot Lorenzo?" Genevieve asked. "Yes," Skye responded. "You thought he was dead?" Genevieve asked. "Yes," Skye affirmed. "After four years, Lorenzo came back to you," Genevieve asked. "Yes, and we worked it out," Skye said. "Then you ended up pregnant again," Genevieve said. "Yes, with you and your sister Skylar," Skye replied. "Did anything happen after you gave birth to both of us?" Genevieve inquired. "Yes, you both were kidnapped, but you ended up fine," Skye stated. "Who kidnapped us?" Genevieve pressed. "Faith Rosco; she was involved in the business too," Skye revealed. "So, it was payback?" Genevieve asked. "Yes," Skye confirmed. "Did you charm Commissioner Ric Lansing and then break into the evidence room to steal evidence against your husband that would prove he killed Commissioner Anna Devane?" Genevieve asked. "No," Skye answered. "Are you sure? Your honor, I have a DVD showing Ms. Alcazar breaking into the evidence room," Genevieve said. "Alright, I did it! I would do anything for Lorenzo. I love him, and I hope one day you find the love of your life too," Skye confessed. "You're done here, Your Honor," Genevieve said. Skye wiped her eyes, and Peter was about to speak when Lorenzo stopped him. "No, leave my wife alone," Lorenzo said. "Peter, are you going to question the witness?" the judge asked. "No, Your Honor," Peter replied. Skye then rose, walked past Genevieve, and looked at her. "Your Honor, I have two more witnesses I would like to call," Genevieve announced. "Go ahead," the judge permitted. "The state calls Lila Rae Alcazar Corinthos to the stand," Genevieve stated. Lila Rae swore in. "Mrs. Corinthos, does your husband Morgan hate your father, Lorenzo?" Genevieve asked. "Yes," Lila Rae responded. "Why?" Genevieve pressed. "They are in the same business," Lila Rae explained. "Really? I thought Mr. Corinthos ran a party store and Mr. Alcazar ran a coffee shop," Genevieve inquired. "Get to the point," the judge ordered. "Your honor, when you were pregnant with your first child, about four weeks along, what happened to that baby?" Genevieve asked. "I lost it," Lila Rae said, wiping her eyes. "What happened?" Genevieve queried. "I went into a warehouse to meet Morgan, and it exploded," Lila Rae explained. "Why would a warehouse owned by Mr. Corinthos blow up?" Genevieve asked. "I don't know, but I lost my son," Lila Rae answered. "You don't know why someone would try to blow up a warehouse your husband owns?" Genevieve challenged. Lila Rae cried and looked at Genevieve. "I'm done here," Genevieve concluded. Peter then stood, confirming he had no questions for Mrs. Corinthos.
