It was nearing the end of summer break which meant it was almost time for all pack members to go to college. And in Malia's case, go to France.

Cassie, due to her almost perfect grades, had gotten into an Ivy League school which was Columbia University. She had decided she wanted to study psychology and Columbia was one of the top ten universities with the best psychology programs in the country. It was expensive, but thanks to 'inheriting' her mother's things, and most importantly money, she made it work.

Fortunately, it was also close to where Stiles was going for college. It was about a four-hour distance, but they decided to do a long-distance relationship which they were determined to make sure survive their college years.

It had been just four days after Cassie dropped Stiles off at his college where he would be taking an FBI program at George Washington University. She was in the loft packing up her suitcase since her flight was the very next day.

She was looking all over for her extra duffle bag. She needed something to carry her extra things, and she couldn't find it anywhere.

"Mom! Have you seen my brown duffle bag? The one with the white zippers?" She asked as she scrambled everywhere to find it.

"No. Sorry, Flower," Katherine said, suddenly appearing right behind her. "Do you even need it? Your suitcase can fit a few more things."

Cassie didn't even flinch when she heard her mother's sudden voice. She was used to it by now. "Yes, I need it. Did you see how I struggled to zip up my suitcase? No way am I shoving more things in there."

"Well, where did you last see it?" Katherine inquired as she began to look around the loft.

"Last summer when I let Malia borrow it to store her hair stuff."

Katherine furrowed her brows. "Hair stuff?"

"Yeah, she cut her hair and dyed it brown. Junior year she had dirty blonde and longer hair," Cassie replied. She then paused, thinking for a moment. "Did she ever give it back to me?" she asked, mainly to herself.

Katherine didn't respond as Cassie silently retraced her life from the summer between junior and senior year in her mind. She sighed, slumping her shoulders, and adjusting the pillows on the sofa.

"She did not give it back to me," Cassie muttered, slipping on her shoes and grabbing her keys.

Katherine sighed as well. She then disappeared when Cassie walked past her to the door.

"Wolves or werewolves?"

"They said wolves," Lydia answered as she roamed around Malia's room.

"Not interested. You go," Malia said as she kept her eyes on her novel and flipped around so her back was on the mattress.

"Liam was asking for help from the were-coyote. Not the banshee," Lydia replied in an annoyed tone as she stood over Malia.

"Why me?"

"Because you're the former animal. Nobody understands mysterious animal situations like you do."

Malia flipped onto her stomach and looked up at her. "I'm done with mysterious animal situations. I want mysterious men. French ones."

Lydia glanced over at the brunette's laptop. "Your flight's delayed."

"No, no. It's rerouted. There's a difference," Malia quickly defended.

"Delayed is what happens when your flight is rerouted. So, you have plenty of time to help." A ding sound came from the laptop, making her glance at it again. "And there's a storm system shutting down Charles de Gauile Airport."
