Shino arrived home, heading straight for a spare room in the house. He unleashed his bugs in the room, and most of them fluttered to the floor, laying there. Sighing deeply, he flopped on the bed nearby.
The day had gone horribly wrong. Instead of training, the teachers went out to the Forest of Death to do a sweep before the beginning of the school year. While out in the forest, Konohamaru fell into what must have been a leftover pit lined with sharp sticks dipped in poison. Shino was able to draw the poison from his friend on the spot, but his colony of kikachu were dying from the poison they had eaten.
And word must've traveled fast, because his father's voice was already coming from the cracked door.
"Did everything go okay? Is Konohamaru okay?"
"It was a successful extraction, but I think I'm going to lose almost all of my colony."
"How are you feeling?"
"Not great. I hate not having my colony. I feel still and empty and awful."
He was used to the gentle hum of his beetles, but the quiet was unnerving. It was something that happened from time to time, and it was a real pain in the ass. But they couldn't stay inside of him, or they'd risk making him sick as well. He'd have to be without his kikachu until the few that had survived created more. That could be a week or more.
"Sorry, Son. Hopefully, they multiply quickly, and you'll be back to normal again."
"I hope so. Is Ino home?"
"Not yet."
"Shit, I'm supposed to go out with Kiba tonight, too-"
"Well, don't miss that. You probably need a drink after losing your colony. I'll be here when she gets back. I'll let her know what happened. Just go and enjoy yourself."

Shino returned home to not only Ino's absence, but his father's absence as well. He must be out with Tsume, he thought to himself. He sighed. He needed to see how much of his dying colony had survived.
Opening the door, the room was buzzing. Literally. They had survived. The majority had survived. As they returned to him, they had a floral sweetness to them that warmed his body, as well as a familiar chakra mixed with his own.
In the corner, Ino had a pot of blooming flowers, picking tiny sick bugs up from a bin and placing them in when more had flown out. And was sure that he must be dreaming. She looked up at him, both her short hair and her sleeves rolled up as she sat on the floor.
"Hey, Shino-kun."
"Did... you do this?"
"Yep. I detoxified your colony. You're lucky that hibiscus is still in bloom."
She. Detoxified. His. Colony. What. The. Fuck.
The most beautiful girl in the world detoxified his colony with a broom, a dustpan, and some plants.
"You did it with hibiscus?"
"I may have cheated and infused it with chakra. But it's working."
He sat on the floor beside her because he was pretty sure he might pass out. He sat as she swapped out the last of the bugs into the flowers.
"Ino, you didn't have to do this."
"I wanted to. I wish I could've saved them all. I'm sorry."
She held up a small enclosure full of dead beetles. It was a very small amount compared to the carnage he unleashed when he got home.
"T-That's okay."
The last few returned to him, kissed with hibiscus pollen and her chakra.
"You saved my colony..."
"I hope this was okay..."
He nodded. It was more than okay. Way more than okay. He wanted to cry.
"Thank you. I love you."
Shit, he didn't mean to say that, though. But it was too late to take back now. She blushed and smiled.
"I love you, too. I'm happy to help."
He leaned over and kissed her deeply and passionately, cradling the back of her head. After a shitty day, this was an unbelievably good ending.
"I mean it, Ino. And not just because you saved my colony. I love you. I've quietly been falling in love with you all summer. I'm in love with you."
She began to cry.
"I love you, too. You've shown me kindness that I didn't know existed, and you've invited a fragile person into your life. A responsibility-"
"You're not fragile. You're so strong. And with every bite I've fed you, and every kiss I've given your skin, I've fallen deeply in love with you. You are a responsibility. You're my responsibility, and that makes me so happy. You're an integral part of my clan now."
"Oh my god, Shino..."
She laid him back on the floor and climbed onto him, humping him gently through their clothes. She was trembling. He felt drunk on both her chakra infused into his bugs and the sweet hibiscus pollen they were carrying. And her. She was so sweet and so beautiful. And she was a hell of a botanist, healing his colony. She whispered into his ear as she pinned his hands above his head.
"Can we play around a little? My birth control won't kick in for another week, but I'd still like to feel your body under mine..."
"I want to, but you should know that I'm overwhelmed and off from not having my colony for most of the day. I might not be the most fun tonight."
"that's okay. I'll play with you and then I'll take care of you."
He held her against himself, feeling her tight ass gyrate against him. The head of his cock was being stroked dangerously through his pants, pinned against his lower abdomen. She was teasing his frenulum dangerously.
He knew he wouldn't penetrate her this time, either, and it felt deliciously right. Her little moans of delight as she stroked her clothed pussy against him... they were ethereal to his ears...
"Oh, Shino..."
She sat up a little, moving on him faster as she tilted her head down and squeaked and moaned quietly. He had never been dry humped before and it was deliciously sweet. It had a fun urgency to it, like a desperation to get off quickly. And she was doing it, loving him gently but urgently on the wooden floor.
Reaching up and under her loose-fitting shirt, he took one perfect breast in his hand. He squeezed it gently.
"Shino-"
It was enough to send her over the edge, screaming silently as she soaked the crotch of her shorts.
Her hot wetness permeated his pants, making him cum seconds later. The release from her was so sweet, and it was worth the wait. He moaned gutturally and quietly as she finished milking him slowly.
She collapsed into him, panting on the bedroom floor. He put his arms around her, kissing her face lovingly.
"I love you, Ino."
"I love you too, Shino-kun."
They had put in the work, and everything was about to change for them.
