As soon as Shino returned home, Ino knew that something was wrong. She jumped up from the couch, throwing her book down.

"Baby?"

He shut the door, holding his arm in his other arm. He was damp, and it was cold out. His jacket was ripped severely. This was way more than a shuriken practice accident.  She removed his goggles, which were almost imbedded in his face.  They were also full of water. He had lacerations from where they sat.

"Everyone's okay. Two kids started acting up in the wooded area during practice and they fell into the river. The first kid I was able to rescue with my ninja beetle, so there went my chakra. The second... I had to go a couple of miles.

Ino felt her heart race.

"And everyone's okay?"

"Both boys are fine. The second is scraped up."

She examined his arm visually.

"Are you okay?"

He winced as she touched him.

"I think so."

"I'm sure they went to the hospital.  Did you?"

His bottom lip began to quiver as he whispered emotionally.

"I just wanted to come home to you..."

His words brought tears to her eyes and made a warmth go through her body. Her heart was so full. She wanted to throw her arms around him, but for now, she'd have to be conservative.

"Oh my god, I love you so much... "

He shook as he cried. She put a hand on the small of his back, guiding him down the hall.

"Come on, a warm bath for you while I look at that arm."

She started the circular tub, pouring fragrant salts in as well as lavender and chamomile pedals. She'd make sure to give him a hero's welcome home tonight and he sure as hell wasn't going to school tomorrow. He was awkwardly trying to take his ripped shirt off. She stopped daydreaming into the bath and rushed to help him.

"Sorry, Love-"

"Don't be sorry. You're helping a lot."

She pulled the shirt over his head, pressing her lips against the cold skin of his uninjured shoulder.

"You're freezing..."

She stripped the rest of his clothes off and helped him into the bath. He settled in stiffly, wincing as the warm water touched his cold skin. She didn't add bubbles so she could do a full assessment.  And the assessment would probably take a while.  She picked up his arm, moving his left elbow as he groaned in pain.

"It's not broken, but it's dislocated. Ready?"

She had to set it. He gritted his teeth as she rammed it back into its socket. He howled in pain as she held his arm against her chest.

"It's done. It's okay."

He took deep breaths as he closed his eyes. She cooed at him.

"You're done, Love. It's okay. I'll get you some pain medicine and we'll baby that arm for the next week."

She started at the crook of his elbow and planted little kisses, moving up his forearm to his wrist. When she looked up, his face was lustful. She scooted closer.

"Is that better, Shino-kun?"

He nodded. She cooed at him.

"It'll swell a little, but I'll make it better."

He moaned a little at her words.

"It's not the only thing that's swelling right now."

She giggled as she cradled his bruised face in her hand, kissing him deeply. As they parted, she slid her hand under the warm water, rubbing the underside of his throbbing shaft with her palm before cupping his full balls.

"At least that didn't get hurt, huh?"

His mouth fell open as she rubbed him a little, stroking him gently, but she did warn him.

"If you cum and your body spasms, it'll hurt that arm-"

"I don't care... I need you more than it's going to hurt..."

She rose up on her knees a little, leaning over further as she stroked him, making sure to get his entire length. She could tell by his face that he wouldn't last long.

"I love you, my Shino-kun. I'm so sorry you're hurt, but I can't wait to play nurse with you all night..."

"Yeah?"

She licked her lips as she gazed at his eyes in the dim bathroom light.  She knew it wouldn't be romantic like she was hyping it up to be, but she wanted to give him some hope. Once his adrenaline wore off, he was going to be in a lot more pain.

"Just do me a favor? Save a little cum for me? I'm going to need a sample when we play tonight. I want it warm in my belly-"

"Uhhh..."

He exploded in her hand, throbbing as she stroked shot after shot from him into the warm bath. She smiled as she took her other hand from the edge of the tub and braced his arms as he trembled. He winced in pain.

"Fuck..."

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah... so good... you're so sexy..."

She leaned in, kissing him deeply and passionately. Adrenaline was probably still pulsating through his injured body. She was sure that he'd be in terrible pain later.

"No one makes me feel as sexy as you."

He was still breathing heavily as she finished her assessment: lacerated cheeks, an even more bruised face from his goggles, deeply lacerated left thigh, the skin was scraped from his left shoulder, hip, and thigh. All of that on top of the dislocated elbow. It was clear which side had hit the riverbed.

"The bruising is turning darker, now that your skin is warming up."

She took a clean cloth and washed him gently, taking her time as he began to nod off. He must've had to swim against the current to save that second boy, she thought to herself. He must've also taken the brunt of the river; with as bad as the current had been, it would've killed a little boy.  The river had been known to kill plenty of adults, too.  And with no chakra...

Soon, he was dried and in bed, a towel wrapped around his waist, full of pain medicine and snoozing lightly as she bandaged him.  She loved seeing him so comfortable, especially in the face of so many injuries.  When she was finally finished lightly rubbing arnica on his bruised skin, she kissed his forehead and covered him with the blankets before heading back out to the living room for her book.  She might as well read as he slept in front of the hearth.

Returning to the room, she snuggled in next to him and opened it again, still keeping a loving eye on him. He awoke a couple of times sleepily as she read, smiling at her sweetly before dozing off again. The aching pain hadn't hit him yet, but she'd be here when it did. She'd see him through it.

He was adorable. Her hero.
