From me, the author. :)

------------------------------------------------------

My heart raced as I darted through the grand halls of Erebor, searching desperately for that one special dwarf. "Come on... Come on..." I kept mumbling to myself. As I continued to run around aimlessly, I was most likely getting annoyed or perplexed looks from every dwarf I seemed to run by.

That is, until I rounded a corner and collided with a solid figure. Startled, I stumbled backwards, almost falling on my back. Wouldn't it have been for Thorin grabbing my arm. I looked up at him, flustered, as I stammered out every apology I knew of.

"Forgive me, Thorin... Eeh, Your Majesty... eeh King," I stammered, a blush creeping up my cheeks as I fumbled with my hands.

Thorin's stone, stern expression met my gaze before his features softened. "No need for apologies, Y/N," he said in a voice that carried a certain understanding. My embarrassment eased slightly at his reassurance, but my raising heart did not.

With a nod of gratitude, I mustered the courage to speak, "Thank you, Your Majesty."

"Why so formal?" Thorin asked, raising an eyebrow with a soft smile, his eyes showing a rare warmth. "You have helped me and the company win back Erebor."

A mixture of surprise and gratitude filled me at his words. Thorin Oakenshield, the mighty king, acknowledged my contributions, creating a sense of validation. "I just... I didn't want to presume," I admitted, a hint of uncertainty in my voice.

Thorin's smile grew more pronounced. "Presume? You've earned the respect of Erebor and its people. No need for formalities."

His words lingered in the air as I absorbed the significance of the moment. With a nod of gratitude, I mustered the courage to say, "Thank you, Thorin," feeling a newfound sense of camaraderie wash over me.

"Now, what has you in such a rush?" he inquired, curiosity etched in his features.

I couldn't shake the excitement bubbling within me as I continued on my quest to find Fili. So, because of my excitement and happiness, my voice just seemed to fly by. "IamlookingforFili,Ihavesomethingspecialplannedout."

Thorin raised an amused eyebrow at my rapid-fire explanation, a small chuckle escaping him. "Slow down, Y/N. I am not fluent in the language of haste."

Taking a deep breath, I composed myself and repeated more slowly, "I am looking for Fili. I have something special planned out."

Thorin's stern demeanor softened even more, and a hint of curiosity played in his eyes. "Something special, you say? Well, don't let me keep you from your mission. Fili can be found in the armory."

With a nod of thanks, I hurried off in the direction of the armory, the excitement of the surprise for Fili fueling my steps. As I entered the bustling room, I spotted Fili engrossed in his preparations.

"Fili!" I called out, a smile dancing on my lips. "I've been looking everywhere for you."

He turned, a grin forming on his face. "What's going on, Y/N?"

In response, I took him by his hand and began pulling him with me.

Fili followed me with a mix of confusion and curiosity as I pulled him away from the bustling armory. The clatter of metal and the hum of dwarven activity faded behind us as we entered a quieter corridor.
