"You know, Todd, a school-free day is something that should be celebrated." I spoke to Todd as I nestled into his side. After finishing writing the sentence in his book, Todd gazed at me with a puzzled look and a blush covering his face. Oh, and that blush—it made him only cuter.

I couldn't help but smile at the sight of his flushed cheeks, finding his shyness endearing. Leaning closer, I rested my head against his shoulder, reveling in the warmth of his presence.

Todd's gaze still lingered on me with a mixture of fondness and bashfulness. "It's nice to have a break from all the stress and pressure."

A smile began etching on my cheeks as I watched the beautiful boy beside me. "Absolutely," I replied, my voice soft as I shifted closer to him. "And spending it with you makes it even better."

Todd's blush deepened at my words, but he returned my smile with a shy one of his own. He soon began stuttering because he didn't know what to say.

"But as I said, it needs to be celebrated. And that's why I have come up with a crazy idea. A picnic dinner and stargazing as well as a little surprise."

Todd's eyes widened with both surprise and curiosity at my suggestion. "A picnic dinner and stargazing?" he repeated, his voice soft, barely above a whisper.

"Yes!" I exclaimed as I moved to sit more upwards. "I have actually been thinking about it for a while, and this is the best moment to do so. And before you began asking about the food, that was already in order."

Todd's expression shifted from puzzlement to delight as my plan unfolded before him. "Wow," he breathed, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "I... I don't know what to say."

"Well, that's the best part; you don't have anything to say." I replied with a small grin as I nudged him playfully. "Because you don't have a word in it, you must join me." I continued while giving him a firm nod with my head.

Todd's eyes widened even further at my playful insistence, his cheeks flushing with a deeper shade of pink. He glanced down at me, a mix of surprise and amusement dancing in his gaze.

"Join you?" he echoed, his voice tinged with both uncertainty and anticipation.

I nodded firmly, a mischievous grin playing on my lips. "Yes, Todd," I affirmed, my tone teasing yet sincere. "You're coming with me on this adventure. Consider it a mandatory celebration."

Todd's expression flickered with anxiety, but it was swiftly replaced by a spark of enthusiasm. "Alright," he agreed, a shy smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I trust you. Lead the way."

With a triumphant grin, I took Todd's hand in mine, intertwining our fingers as I began leading him to my own dorm room so I could grab all that was needed.

Inside my dorm room, I quickly gathered the essentials for our picnic dinner and stargazing adventure. A checkered blanket, a basket filled with delicious snacks and food, a thermos of hot cocoa, and a cozy blanket to keep us warm under the starlit sky.

With everything in hand, I turned to Todd with a smile. "Ready?" I asked, my eyes shining with excitement.

Giving a nod in return, I grabbed his arm again and began pulling him after me. But of course, everything couldn't go smoothly as I bumped into a firm chest. As I turned my head up, I found myself face-to-face with Charlie Dalton, the flirt at the school. His expression was a mix of amusement and curiosity as he looked between Todd and me.
