The contestants of Total Drama: The Ridonculous Race had finally arrived at a picturesque hotel nestled in a cold, pristine land. The icy landscape was a refreshing change from the sweltering heat of previous challenges, and the hotel boasted a charming ice rink set upon a perfectly frozen lake.

As the sun sank below the horizon, casting long shadows across the rink, the contestants were given a brief reprieve from their grueling competition. Most of them eagerly embraced the chance to relax, but Josee, ever the schemer, had vanished from sight, lost in her own secretive plans.

Jacques, feeling the mounting pressure of the competition and Josee's relentless machinations, sought solace in the rink. He laced up his figure skates with practiced ease and glided onto the ice, letting the serene ambiance soothe his troubled mind. The rink's quiet beauty offered a stark contrast to the chaos of the race, and Jacques relished the moment of solitude away from Josee's incessant scheming.

Elsewhere, Y/N had overheard other contestants discussing the ice rink and decided to seize the opportunity to try his hand at skating. He rented a pair of skates and tentatively ventured onto the ice, his movements unsteady as he wobbled and stumbled, trying to find his balance.

The rink was peaceful; the only sounds were the soft scrape of skates on ice and occasional bursts of distant laughter. Jacques, lost in the rhythm of his skating routine, was so absorbed in his own performance that he didn't notice Y/N's struggles.

Y/N, determined to master the basics, attempted a particularly ambitious maneuver, his concentration focused. As he executed the move, his balance faltered, and he collided with Jacques. The unexpected impact sent them both crashing to the ice.

In a flurry of limbs and surprised yelps, Y/N found himself landing squarely on top of Jacques. Their faces were inches apart, their breaths mingling in the chilly air. Jacques's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly shifted to a look of amused warmth.

"Well, that's one way to make an entrance," Jacques said with a chuckle, his voice soft and warm. He looked up at Y/N with a playful glint in his eyes.

Y/N, cheeks flushed with embarrassment, tried to scramble off Jacques, but their skates tangled awkwardly. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to—"

Jacques gently placed a hand on Y/N's shoulder, stopping his frantic movements. "It's alright. No harm done," he said with a reassuring smile. "It happens to the best of us."

Y/N eventually managed to get off Jacques, and they both sat up on the ice. Jacques helped Y/N to his feet, his eyes twinkling with kindness. However, as Y/N attempted to stand, his skates betrayed him once again. His feet slipped backward, and Y/N found himself falling forward once more.

Jacques's laughter rang out, light and genuine, as he quickly moved to support Y/N again, catching him securely under the armpits.

Jacques's laughter was infectious, and Y/N couldn't help but let out a nervous giggle of his own. Their eyes met again, and this time the warmth in Jacques's gaze felt reassuring rather than disconcerting.

"Easy there," Jacques said, steadying Y/N with a firm but gentle grip. "It seems the ice isn't quite your friend yet."

Y/N's cheeks still pink from the tumble. "I guess not. I thought it would be easier than it looks."

Jacques gave a small, encouraging smile. "Don't worry. I've been skating since I was a kid. It takes practice to get it right."

Still feeling the rush of their awkward encounter, Y/N glanced around the rink and then back at Jacques. "Would you mind showing me how it's done?
