As Marty and Doc discuss the time-traveling DeLorean, Marty's attention is drawn by music emanating from upstairs. "Excuse me, Doc," he interrupts, running a hand through his hair. "Why are you listening to music upstairs when you're down here?"

Doc, adjusting his round, thick-framed glasses, chuckles softly at Marty's question. "Ah, that's not me, Marty. That's Y/N, my kid."

Marty's eyes widened like saucers as he heard Doc's revelation. Before his hand flew to his mouth as he processed the shocking information. "Wait, they're alive?" Marty exclaimed, his voice filled with disbelief.

Doc's smile fades as he registers the shock in Marty's voice. His brow furrows in confusion, and he removes his glasses, polishing them absentmindedly as he considers Marty's question. "Alive?" he repeats, his tone laced with uncertainty. "Marty, what do you mean? Of course, they're alive. They're my child."

There's a moment of silence as Doc studies Marty, searching his face for any hint of understanding. When none comes, Doc's expression softens with concern.

Doc's concern deepens as he observes Marty's bewildered expression. He takes a step closer to Marty, his voice gentle but filled with worry. "Marty, is everything alright? You seem... shaken by this. Did something happen to Y/N in your time?"

Marty's gaze flickers between Doc's concerned eyes and the floor, uncertainty written all over his face. "I... I don't know how to explain it, Doc," he admits, his voice barely above a whisper. "In my time, Y/N... they're not alive. They're gone."

A heavy silence settles between them as Doc absorbs Marty's words, his mind racing with the implications of what Marty just revealed. Doc's mind continues to whirl with questions and concerns. How could Y/N have died? And what dangers could they possibly face that would lead to their demise?

Before Doc could respond, Marty's curiosity got the better of him. "Doc," he begins tentatively, "do you think I could meet Y/N? I mean, since they're here and all."

Doc pauses, considering Marty's request carefully. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt," he muses, adjusting his glasses thoughtfully. "But we must proceed with caution. We can't risk altering the course of events or revealing too much about the future."

Marty nods in understanding, his excitement tempered by Doc's caution. "I get it, Doc. We'll be careful." With that settled, Doc leads Marty upstairs to where Y/N is.

As they approach, Marty can hear the faint strains of music growing louder with each step. His heart races with anticipation as he prepares to meet the person who, in his timeline, is no longer alive.

When they reach the room, Doc gently pushes the door open, revealing Y/N sitting at a desk, lost in their own world as they listen to music.

Marty's breath catches in his throat as he takes in the sight of Y/N, their presence filling the room with a sense of warmth and vitality. Doc clears his throat, announcing their presence. Y/N looks up, startled, and their eyes widen in surprise at the sight of Marty standing beside Doc.

"Y/N, this is Marty," Doc introduces, gesturing towards Marty with a small smile. "He's a friend of mine."

Marty offers a nervous smile, suddenly feeling self-conscious under Y/N's gaze. "Hi," he says, his voice tinged with uncertainty. "It's nice to meet you."

Y/N's gaze shifts from Marty to Doc, a mischievous glint in their eyes as they offer a small smirk. "Since when did you have friends, dad?" they quip, their tone teasing yet affectionate.

Marty's lips twitch with amusement at Y/N's remark, impressed by their quick wit and playful demeanor.

Doc, meanwhile, seems momentarily caught off guard by Y/N's comment, his brow furrowing in mild surprise before a hint of amusement graces his features. He chuckles softly, a twinkle of fondness in his eyes as he responds, "Well, I suppose there's a first time for everything, Y/N."
