Peter Parker trudged up the stairs to his apartment, each step feeling heavier than the last. It had been a long day filled with school, homework, and patrolling the city as Spider-Man. His body ached from the recent skirmish with the latest villain, and all he wanted was to collapse onto his bed.

As he entered the apartment, the comforting smells of Aunt May's cooking wafted through the air. He offered her a quick greeting before heading straight to his room, eager to finally relax. He pushed open his bedroom door. The light from the hallway cast a soft glow over his room, illuminating a figure sitting on his bed. His heart lurched into his throat as he caught sight of Y/N, perched on the edge of his bed with a serene smile playing on her lips.

"Y/N! What are you doing here?" Peter's voice cracked with surprise, his hand instinctively going to his chest as if to steady the racing beat of his heart. "You scared the hell out of me!".

Y/N didn't flinch. Her eyes were steady, and her voice was calm. "I know, Peter. I know you're Spider-Man."

Peter's breath caught, and he felt an icy knot form in his stomach. He glanced instinctively towards his closet, where his Spider-Man suit was hidden under a pile of clothes. His mind raced, trying to come up with a plausible denial, but Y/N's unwavering gaze told him it was useless. He swallowed hard, forcing a chuckle that came out strained. "What are you talking about? That's ridiculous!" he said, his voice pitching slightly higher than usual.

Y/N stood up and took a step closer, holding up a piece of torn red-and-blue fabric. "Don't lie to me, Peter. I've known you for too long. I saw you after the last fight with that new villain. You had the same cuts and bruises. And I found this." She waved the torn piece of his suit.

Peter sighed, feeling the weight of his secret lift slightly, but the burden of its revelation settled heavily on his shoulders. He sat down on the edge of the bed, running a hand through his hair. "Okay, you got me. Yes, I'm Spider-Man. But you can't tell anyone, Y/N. It's dangerous."

Y/N sat beside him, her expression softening. "I know. I just wanted you to know that I'm here for you. You don't have to do this alone."

He looked at her, gratitude flooding his chest and a little something more. But before he could say anything, Y/N added with an almost playful tone, though her eyes were serious. "And one more thing. You have to let me join you when you're swinging from house to house."

Peter's eyes widened, a mix of surprise and amusement dancing in his gaze. "Are you serious? It's not as easy as it looks," he said, a chuckle escaping despite his efforts to stay serious. His mind flashed back to his own initial struggles with web-slinging and the countless near-misses and hard landings.

Her grin broadened, a spark of mischief lighting up her eyes. "I know, but I trust you. And it sounds like fun."

Peter shook his head, a smile tugging at his lips as he imagined the two of them swinging through the city together. "You're crazy, you know that?" he said, his tone affectionate. He couldn't help but admire her spirit and the way she embraced the unknown with such confidence.

Y/N nudged him playfully with her shoulder, her touch light yet reassuring. "Takes one to know one, Parker," she teased, her eyes twinkling with warmth and familiarity.

Peter finally relaxed a bit, the tension easing from his shoulders as he sat on the edge of his bed. He glanced over at Y/N, who was still sitting beside him, with a knowing look in her eyes.

"Honestly, I don't even know how you managed to find me here," Peter said, shaking his head. "It's like you have a built-in Spider-Sense or something."
