103. Bound by Love - Cole x male reader (Ninjago)

Y/N hesitated outside Jay's room, nerves fluttering in his stomach. He knew he needed guidance, someone who understood Cole as deeply as he did. Walking back and forth outside the bedroom, he could almost light the floor on fire. Taking a deep breath, Y/N knocked on the door, his heart pounding with anticipation.

"Come in!" Jay's voice called from inside, and Y/N pushed the door open to find Jay tinkering with his gadgets.

"Hey, Jay," Y/N greeted, fumbling into the room and almost tripping at the doorframe.

Jay looked up, a bright grin spreading across his face. "Hey, Y/N!" Seeing Y/N's nervous state, his grin vanished as he thought of the worst. "Hey, Y/N! What brings you here?" Jay's voice broke the tension, his grin returning as he tried to lighten the mood.

Y/N took a deep breath as he took a seat opposite Jay, fidgeting with his hands nervously. "I, uh, need your help with something."

Jay set aside his gadgets, his expression shifting to one of concern as he noticed the unease in Y/N's voice and posture. "Of course, buddy. What's on your mind?"

Y/N hesitated, unsure how to articulate his thoughts. "It's about Cole," he finally managed to say, the words tumbling out in a rush. "I, eeh."

Y/N felt the weight of his words hanging in the air, unsure how Jay would react. He could feel Jay's gaze, steady and understanding, as he struggled to find the right words.

Jay's expression softened, a silent invitation for Y/N to continue. "Go on, Y/N," he encouraged gently.

Taking another deep breath to steady his nerves, Y/N forged ahead. "I may have a, a tiny, eeh, or not so tiny crush on him."

Jay's expression shifted from concern to surprise, then to a wide grin of excitement, his eyes lighting up with enthusiasm. "Whoa, really? You have a crush on Cole?" Jay exclaimed, unable to contain his excitement. "That's awesome, Y/N!"

Y/N nodded, feeling a rush of relief at Jay's enthusiastic reaction. "Yeah," he replied, his voice tinged with nervous excitement. "And I want to do something special for him. Something to show him how much he means to me."

Jay's grin widened even further, if that were possible, as he leaned forward eagerly. "Dude, this is amazing! I've been waiting for the day when someone would sweep Cole off his feet!"

Y/N couldn't help but smile at Jay's infectious enthusiasm, feeling a surge of confidence wash over him. "Thanks, Jay," he said gratefully. "I just... I want it to be perfect, you know? But I'm not sure what or if I will be able to do anything with it."

Jay's excitement remained unwavering, his grin stretching from ear to ear. "Don't worry, Y/N. We'll come up with something amazing together. Cole deserves the best, and you're just the person to give it to him!"

Feeling a wave of gratitude for Jay's enthusiasm and support, they replied, "Thanks, Jay. It means a lot that you're willing to help."

Jay clapped his hands together, his eyes sparkling with determination. "Alright, let's get brainstorming. First things first, what are some of Cole's favorite things? Places, activities, food?"

Y/N thought for a moment, recalling all the little details they had picked up over time. "He loves rock climbing, obviously. And he has a soft spot for cake. Chocolate, specifically. And he enjoys quiet places with great views."

Jay nodded, taking in the information with an appreciative smile. "Perfect! We can plan something around that. How about a picnic at a scenic spot where you can confess your feelings? We could even get a special cake made for him."

Y/N's eyes lit up at the idea. "That sounds perfect, Jay. But how do we make it a surprise?"

Jay grinned, leaning in conspiratorially. "Leave that to me. We can tell Cole we're all going out for a training exercise or something. Then, when we get to the spot, it'll just be you and him with everything set up."
