Y/N sat cross-legged on her bed, idly flicking through her makeup bag as soft music played in the background. The walls of her room were adorned with posters of her favorite bands and a few scattered photographs capturing the chaos and camaraderie of her life with Mickey and the Gallaghers.
After texting Ian earlier, urging him to come over for a much-needed break from the madness that often enveloped their lives, she finally heard the familiar sound of his footsteps in the hallway.
"I swear, Ian," she called out from her spot on the bed as he walked into her room, "you look like you haven't slept in a week." She gave him a playful smile, eyes narrowing as she held up a black eyeliner pencil. "Good thing you came to the right place—I'm about to work some magic."
Ian raised an eyebrow, his usual guarded expression softening as he dropped onto the floor beside the bed. "Magic, huh? What, you gonna make me disappear?" He joked, leaning back on his elbows.
Y/N grinned, shaking her head. "Better than that. I'm gonna make you look even hotter. Mickey's gonna lose his mind when he sees what I've done to you."
Ian laughed, a nervous edge to it, but the sparkle in Y/N's eyes was contagious. She was the one person in Mickey's world who could get away with anything—whether it was giving Ian a makeover or teasing her brother without him flipping out. He shrugged, relenting. "Alright, fine. Let's see what you've got."
Y/N beamed, hopping up to grab her makeup bag. "Now you're talking, Gallagher."
Ian leaned back against the side of the bed, watching as Y/N rummaged through her makeup collection with a gleam in her eye. "So, what's the plan here?
Y/N smirked as she grabbed a few makeup essentials, lining them up on the bed like a professional ready to transform her canvas. "The plan, my dear Ian, is to give you a little edge. Maybe some smoky eyes, a touch of highlighter... you know, subtle but deadly."
Ian chuckled, his guard still lowered in the comfort of Y/N's presence. "Subtle and deadly? Sounds like you've been spending too much time with Mickey."
"Well, someone's gotta balance the madness," she teased, uncapping the eyeliner and carefully positioning herself in front of him. "Close your eyes. Let the artist work."
Ian obliged, letting his eyelids flutter shut as Y/N hovered closer, her focus sharp. Y/N bit her bottom lip in concentration as she gently traced the eyeliner along Ian's lash line. "You know," she murmured as she worked, "you really should let me do this more often. You have the bone structure for it, you know?"
Ian chuckled softly, feeling the cool brush of the eyeliner against his skin. "Thanks, I think? Is that your way of saying I have a pretty face?"
Y/N laughed; the sound bright and airy. "Absolutely! You're like a diamond in the rough, Ian. Just need a little polish to shine." She leaned in closer, her breath warming his cheek as she focused on getting the line just right.
Ian felt a flutter of warmth spread through his chest at Y/N's words, though he tried to play it off with another chuckle. "A diamond, huh? I don't know about all that."
Y/N paused for a second, pulling back to look at him with a playful grin. "Oh, come on. You can't tell me you don't see it. You've got those intense eyes, the cheekbones—you're basically a model in the making, Ian Gallagher."
Ian laughed, feeling a rare blush creeping up his neck. "Yeah, right. I think Mickey would have something to say about that."
Y/N smirked, raising an eyebrow as she finished up with the eyeliner and moved on to the next part of her plan. "Honestly, I think he'd agree with me. He might act all tough, but he's got eyes. He knows exactly how lucky he is to have you."
