Y/N observed the newcomers with keen interest. Elrond's voice broke the silence, his tone both commanding and gentle. "Welcome to Rivendell. Y/N," he said, turning towards her, "will guide you to your accommodations and see to your needs."

Y/N stepped forward, offering a respectful nod to the dwarves. "Greetings. I am Y/N. Please follow me, and I will show you to your quarters."

The dwarves sent the elf wary looks, with the younger ones appearing more at ease. Meanwhile, the single hobbit, Bilbo, looked pleased at the prospect of a comfortable quarter for a change.

Dwalin spoke up, his voice rough with suspicion. "We don't need an elf to babysit us," he grumbled, crossing his arms over his broad chest.

Y/N met his glare with a calm, unwavering gaze. "I assure you, Master Dwalin, my only intention is to make your stay more comfortable," she replied evenly. "However, respect is a two-way street. If you cannot extend basic courtesy, you may find yourself outside the protection of Rivendell and at the mercy of the orcs."

Thorin's gaze sharpened at Y/N's words, sensing the underlying threat. He raised a hand to Dwalin, signaling for him to stand down. Meanwhile, Kili and Fili exchanged a quick glance, barely containing their amusement at Dwalin's gruff encounter with Y/N.

Y/N continued, her voice steady and unwavering. "Now, does anyone else have something to say before I show you around and lead you to your sleeping quarters?" Her shoulders squared and posture firm, Y/N awaited any further objections or comments from the dwarves, her demeanor calm yet assertive.

Y/N's question hung in the air, the tension palpable among the company of dwarves. Dwalin's expression softened slightly, begrudging respect flickering in his eyes as he glanced at Thorin, who nodded imperceptibly.

Kili, always one to break tension with humor, spoke up with a smirk. "No objections here, Y/N," he said, earning a reproachful look from his brother Fili. "Lead the way."

Fili rolled his eyes but smiled faintly, his gaze shifting between Y/N and the surrounding elven architecture that seemed to glow in the soft Rivendell light.

Y/N nodded in acknowledgment, and her steady pace through Rivendell's tranquil pathways set a calm rhythm for the company of dwarves following behind her. She pointed out the graceful arches and intricate carvings of the elven architecture, highlighting the harmonious blend with the surrounding nature that seemed to glow in the soft Rivendell light.

Along the way, elven children played amongst the gardens, their laughter like tinkling bells in the air. One adventurous child, a young elf with silver hair and bright eyes, approached Y/N with a shy smile, offering a delicate flower.

"For you, auntie," the child said in a melodic voice, offering the blossom.

Y/N accepted it graciously; her smile warm and genuine. "Thank you, little one. It's beautiful," she replied softly, tucking the flower behind her ear, where it nestled amongst her hair.

The child, sensing Y/N's gentle demeanor, looked up at her with wide eyes. "Will you carry me?" the elf child asked, her voice filled with innocent curiosity.

Y/N's heart melted at the child's request, her affection for the young elf deepening. She glanced at the dwarves behind her, silently asking for approval.

Thorin regarded the scene with a stern expression, considering the request carefully. After a moment's pause, he nodded subtly, giving his consent without a word. The other dwarves exchanged glances, some with skeptical expressions softening slightly at the innocent request.

She kneeled down, extending her arms to lift the child gently onto her hip. "Of course, little one," she replied warmly, adjusting her hold to make the elf child comfortable.
