Alethea's POV:

The lecture hall was filled with a tense, almost suffocating silence. The air was thick with anticipation, the kind you could practically feel, radiating from my classmates. Every one of them seemed to be holding their breath, their anxiety palpable, as though the weight of the mid-term exam hung over us all like a dark cloud. I glanced around, trying to calm the growing knot in my stomach. The tension was so intense, you could almost slice through it with a knife. Luckily, I had taken my mid-term before the incident with Bloom and the Chamber forced the exams to be postponed. The Trix were responsible for that chaos, and my anger towards them still simmered beneath the surface.

"And now, the announcement you've all been waiting for," Professor Palladium's voice broke the silence, though it didn't entirely dissolve the tension. If anything, it seemed to intensify it. His words instantly captured everyone's attention, even those of us who, like me, had already completed our mid-terms. The suffocating atmosphere still managed to stir up my own stress. "The magical reality chamber is operational again. We can finally resume the mid-term exam. Half of you will take it today, and the rest tomorrow. I don't think I need to remind you, but this is the most important test of the year—it will count for half of your grade."

"I double-triple hope I don't have to go today," I heard one of my classmates whisper, their voice thick with dread.

"I'm so nervous," came the response, filled with the same unease. "I can't even connect to my Winx."

"Let's see," Professor Palladium hummed, flipping through his list of names. "Princess Stella is first on the list. Looks like she's absent again. Did anyone see her this morning?"

"I did," I spoke up without hesitation, capturing everyone's attention. For once, I didn't feel nervous at the weight of their stares. "She wasn't feeling well. She said she swapped her perfume with a cat potion and ate a furball!" I cringed inwardly at the memory of this morning's conversation, despite my suspicions that Stella was just faking it to avoid the test. Still, a sense of worry lingered.

"Please tell her that I expect her to take her test first thing tomorrow. She has to pass this test—her grades in this class are already low," Palladium said, his tone firm as he opened the chamber. "Next up will be Flora." As he called her name, Flora stood, visibly nervous but resolute. She stepped forward, entering the simulation room with the kit she had chosen. Despite her nerves, I knew she had grown more confident in her abilities after our encounter with the Nymphs. I was proud of how far she had come in trusting her magic and herself.

"Alright, now," Professor Palladium murmured as he prepared the simulation. "Remember, magical reality is not make-believe. The chamber will automatically select a dead planet."
