Alethea's POV:

"So that's why I can't be here today, Alethea." Bloom mused, her tone light as she handed me a freshly baked cookie. The warm, chocolatey goodness melted in my mouth, and I savored the sweetness, grateful for her small gesture.

I sighed softly and picked up my steaming cup of tea and took a sip, letting the warmth spread through me. It couldn't quite chase away the sense of impending fatigue that loomed over the day. "Do you really have to go to Earth today?"

"I want to go!" Aisha exclaimed from her place beside me, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "After all the studying and battling we've been doing, I just need to kick back and let loose a little." Her infectious energy made it hard to resist her excitement, and I couldn't help but smile.

"But I had to get special permission," Bloom pointed out, her voice tinged with responsibility. "You can't just skip classes without a good reason." She adjusted the strap of her bag, looking slightly conflicted.

"Oh, come on!" Aisha sighed, rolling her eyes dramatically. I stifled a giggle, knowing exactly what she was thinking. "That's just a formality."

"If you're talking about skipping class, sign me up!" Stella chimed in, matching my smile with her own. "I can't deal with school these days. It feels like a never-ending cycle of lectures and tests."

"Can you actually do that?" Flora asked, tilting her head slightly.

"The rule is you can skip two classes per term," Lockette informed us. A sense of relief washed over me; knowing that skipping classes wouldn't hurt our grades was a small victory in our favor.

"But you'll still be in trouble," Nixie added, munching on a rich brownie, crumbs dusting her fingers.

"We won't get caught," I assured her softly, flashing a gentle smile that I hoped would ease her concerns. Turning back to Bloom, I pressed, "So, can we tag along with you?"

Bloom still seemed unsure, biting her lip as she considered our plea. "Well, I mean, Earth isn't the most happening of places," she replied, her voice wavering.

"The planet that gave the universe platform shoes is happening in my book," Stella countered, nudging Bloom playfully, a happy smile stretching across her face. "Trust me, it'll be fun!"

"And I hear you guys have the best music!" Aisha added, her excitement palpable as she leaned forward, her eyes wide with anticipation.

Just then, Musa walked up to us, looking more tired than ever, her hair slightly disheveled. I couldn't blame her; it was early in the morning after all. "Second best," she mumbled, stifling a yawn.
