Alethea's POV:

"Your final exam will be the laser beam obstacle course."

The words hung in the air, charged with an intensity that made the room feel smaller, the walls seeming to close in as tension settled over us like a thick, suffocating blanket. My heart pounded, each beat faster than the last, and my mind spun in a blur of chaotic thoughts, racing and colliding.

"Alethea, come forward, please. You're up first."

Damn.

Anxiety surged through me, gripping my mind like a relentless storm, and doubt seeped into every corner of my thoughts, whispering insecurities I hadn't even known I had. "...First, again?" My voice trembled slightly, betraying the wave of nerves that threatened to consume me.

"Don't worry, Alethea," Bloom said gently, her hand resting on my back in an attempt to comfort me. "It'll be over before you know it!"

Tecna flashed me a thumbs up, her voice steady and confident. "Confidence is key."

"You got this!" Musa cheered, her eyes bright with encouragement, while Stella seemed completely absorbed in her nails, barely noticing the tension in the air.

That was Stella for you.

"You'll do great!" Flora added, her voice soft and soothing, the worry in her eyes clear despite her smile. "...I'm sure that next school year, you won't have to go first."

The unexpected sincerity in her words caught me off guard, and for a moment, the knots in my stomach loosened. Her gentle reassurance held a quiet strength, and I realized how much I needed to hear those words. In the midst of the nervous symphony that played in my mind, I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I let the silence settle around me for just a moment, grounding myself, before opening them again. This wasn't just a challenge; this was an opportunity to prove how much I had grown.

Nervousness was a companion to the path of growth, and with that final thought, I could feel the storm inside me shift, clearing the way for something stronger to rise in its place. I let my magic flow outward, surrounding me, as a wave of calm determination washed over me. It was time to show what I was capable of.

I closed my eyes and felt myself rise up in the sky as my surroundings changed, the sound of water dripping was heard and with the movements of my hands the water rose and covered me like a blanket and the water burst, revealing my Fairy outfit. I wore a light blue dress almost close to white that had translucent sleeves with a Dragon crystal on the dress paired with translucent thigh-high socks that matched my sleeves and ankle-heeled boots that consisted of silver designs while my snow white hair remained loose. Sparkles surrounded me and soon my small light blue translucent wings formed on my back, finishing my transformation.
