Alethea's POV:

I gasped, my heart racing, as I shot up from the depths of the dream. The cold sweat clung to me, and the eerie remnants of the nightmare lingered in my mind, as if it was real. It was just a dream, I told myself, but the fear still clung to me. My breaths were shallow, and I forced myself to calm down.

The darkness of the dream had felt so vast, so endless. I had been falling—weightless, yet somehow trapped—pulled into an abyss where nothing made sense. But then, there was the light. It flickered in the distance, a tiny flame at first, but it grew with a warmth that was almost too intense to bear. Even though the fire surrounded me, it didn't burn. It pressed in, like something alive, and yet, I felt strangely calm.

Then came the voice, cold and harsh, the words sharp and filled with cruel certainty. It spoke to me in a way that made my heart freeze. "I will win..."

I tried to stand my ground, my voice wavering but firm. "I will never bow to you," I whispered, even though I knew I was trapped.

The dream ended with his smile—a cruel, twisted thing that sent chills down my spine. "Let death do us part."

And then, I woke up.

I slowly swung my legs over the side of the bed and put my hands on my face, wiping away the cold sweat. My heart was still thumping loudly in my chest. The dark feeling of the dream clung to me, but I tried to push it away. It was just a dream, Alethea. Nothing to fear, I reminded myself. I just needed water.

I got up, my bare feet cold against the floor, and stepped out into the hallway. The night air felt cool and soothing against my skin. As I walked through the living room, I saw Bloom on the couch, her wide eyes staring into the darkness. It wasn't hard to see that something was bothering her.

"Bloom," I whispered softly, not wanting to startle her. I sat down beside her, resting my hand gently on her shoulder. "You've earned your Enchantix, and you've been to Pyros and the Omega Dimension... You've been through so much. You deserve rest."

Bloom leaned her head against my shoulder with a quiet sigh. "I can't seem to settle. I'm too wound up."

I smiled gently, trying to ease the tension. "Maybe no one else is having trouble sleeping, but I think we could all use some tea." I gave a quiet laugh, Kiko curling up next to us for warmth. "Would you like some?"

"I'm just worried about Valtor," Bloom murmured, her voice small and uncertain.

I could hear the worry in her voice, but I wanted to lighten the mood. "Well, I think you should be more worried about our Enchantix training with Miss Griselda tomorrow," I teased gently. "I heard she might keep us all week!"
