Alethea's POV:
The anticipation of the event was palpable as we approached the grand entrance of Red Fountain, which stood tall and imposing, freshly rebuilt after being destroyed by the Witches last year. The energy in the air was infectious, and though I tried to remain quietly observant, I couldn't help but feel a growing excitement bubbling beneath the surface.
Stella, ever the social butterfly, slipped her arm through mine with a mischievous grin. "Sure, the Groundbreaking Ceremony will be interesting," she said, her golden hair catching the sunlight. "But the after-party promises to be the real highlight!"
I shook my head, amused by her never-ending enthusiasm. "You and your parties," I teased gently.
Bloom, walking beside us, practically bounced on her feet. "Sky told me they hired an amazing DJ for the party!" Her eyes sparkled with excitement.
"Yeah, DJ Marrage!" Musa chimed in, her face lighting up at the mention of the DJ. "He's incredible! This party's going to be off the charts." Her love for music was contagious, and I found myself smiling a little wider, enjoying how much joy the thought of it brought her.
As we neared the entrance, Bloom's excitement shifted slightly when she spotted Professor Avalon making his way toward us. "Professor!" she called, waving eagerly. "Musa and Aisha are performing at the halftime show. It's going to be wonderful!"
Avalon nodded politely, his expression softening just a bit. "I look forward to it. I'll be in the honor box but will see you all at the party."
Bloom's smile faltered. "Oh, I thought you'd be sitting with us," she said, her voice tinged with disappointment.
Avalon offered a small, apologetic smile. "Codatorta invited me to join him. He's been eager to meet me since he learned I'm a champion Dragon Wrangler."
"That's amazing!" Bloom's face lit up again with admiration.
After Avalon departed, I let out a playful sigh. "What a shame he's not sitting with us," I said with a teasing smile.
Bloom nudged me gently, laughing. "Be nice."
"I am," I replied sweetly, giving her an innocent shrug.
Before we could dwell on it further, Aisha suddenly appeared beside us, her expression serious. "Guys, a group of Witches is coming this way," she whispered.
We all turned to look, spotting the Witches in their dark robes moving through the crowd toward the entrance. Tecna immediately narrowed her eyes, crossing her arms as she observed them with suspicion.
"I bet they're here to cause trouble," Tecna muttered under her breath.
Musa quickly pulled out her phone and scrolled through a list. "Wait, they're actually invited," she said, clearly surprised. "It's part of a goodwill gesture after last year's battle."
