Alethea's POV:
I woke with a jolt, my breath sharp in the cold air. My eyes flicked open, and I immediately realized something was wrong. The room around me was unfamiliar—dark, oppressive, and silent. It wasn't the room I shared with Stella; this place... I was sure I'd never seen it before. The shadows seemed to press in, swirling as though alive, watching me.
I sat up, a chill crawling across my skin as I pushed the covers off, my feet meeting the icy floor. The cold sent a shiver up my spine, but I didn't have time to linger on it. I stood, my movements mechanical, drawn by an unease that gripped my chest. Slowly, I crossed the room and reached for the door, opening it with a creak that echoed through the stillness.
Beyond the threshold lay a grand hall—vast and ominous. It was no place I recognized, nothing like Alfea. The towering walls stretched into darkness, their details hidden in shadow. The atmosphere was oppressive, as though the very air held its breath.
And then, I heard it. Screams. Distant but unmistakable—screams for help, screams of pain, screams of anger. The noise sliced through the quiet, sending a jolt of panic through me. Without thinking, my feet carried me toward the window, drawn by the chaos outside.
What I saw stole my breath away. Fire. It raged around the palace, its bright orange tongues licking the air, consuming everything in its path. People ran through the streets, faces twisted in terror, their footsteps echoing in a frantic symphony of fear. Their screams blended with the crackling flames, creating a haunting cacophony that seemed to reverberate in my bones.
"Where am I?" I whispered, my voice barely a breath. The words hung in the air like a fragile thread, torn by the weight of what I saw. "This has to be a dream..." But deep down, I knew it wasn't. This place was nothing like Alfea. And there was no way I had sleepwalked here, not to this foreign palace in another realm.
Something stirred inside me, a pull, a sense of duty that settled heavy in my chest. It was as if a force greater than me had placed me here for a reason. The urgency was overwhelming, something I couldn't ignore. I needed to act.
Without thinking, my body moved, the energy building inside me, and my aura surged outward, bursting at the seams like a crack in the sky. The light was blinding, searing through the darkness like a beacon. I stood poised, ready. I had to save them. I didn't know how, or why, but I knew that it was my only choice.
"Enchantix!" As I ascended into the sky, a brilliant glow radiated from my arms, transforming them into elegant, elbow-length gloves shimmering with a translucent sheen. Beautiful sandal-like straps wrapped around my feet, spiraling up my legs to just beneath my knees. Sparkles gathered around my neck, forming a delicate Fairy dust bottle. A shimmering water bubble enclosed me, and when it burst, I stood in my Fairy outfit: a stunning, flowing dress in shades of pale blue, with sheer layers draping elegantly from my waist, twinkling like stardust. As I twirled, my white hair magically styled itself into a breathtaking boho bubble braid, with intricate plaits woven at the crown and adorned with delicate, shimmering accessories. Loose waves cascaded down my back, soft and ethereal. Enormous wings, patterned in iridescent blue and gold, unfolded behind me, their tips glittering with tiny gems. Finally, Ghidorah circled gracefully around me, finishing my transformation.
