Alethea's POV:

"I miss how simple things used to be," Bloom sighed as we walked through the bustling corridors. The noise of fellow students hurrying past was a steady hum, but her words still reached me.

I glanced over at her, curious. "What do you miss the most?"

She smiled softly. "Just the little things, I guess. Hanging out with friends, not having so much to worry about. Everything felt easier back then." Her voice had a light, nostalgic tone to it.

I nodded, hugging my books closer. "Yeah, It's funny how you don't realize that until later."

Bloom chuckled softly, her eyes seemed so distant that it made my heart ache. "Exactly. Now, everything seems to have bigger consequences."

I gave a small, thoughtful smile. "But I think the quiet moments, like this one, still matter."

She looked over at me, her expression softening. "You always know how to find something good in everything."

I blushed a little, feeling shy despite knowing that it was far from true. "I just try to hold onto the moments that make me happy."

Her smile grew, warm and genuine. "I think that's the best way to live."

The hallway finally opened up to our classroom, where our friends were already gathered outside, chatting while they waited.

I glanced around, noticing one person missing. "Where's Stella?" I asked quietly.

"Probably getting ready for the new class," Bloom replied, snapping back into focus.

"Oh, right," I murmured, remembering. "She's been talking non-stop about that chef's new book."

Just as we mentioned her, Stella came rushing down the hallway, her energy unmistakable as she waved to us. "Wait for me!" she called, her voice bright with excitement. "Isn't this new class going to be amazing?! Chef Roco Despellio is so cute! I need to get a front-row seat!" She peered into the classroom, her enthusiasm quickly shifting into disappointment. "Ew!"

I couldn't help but ask, "What happened to him being cute?" Curiosity got the better of me, and I leaned in to peek inside. When my eyes fell on the figure at the front of the room, my heart sank. "Griselda?" I whispered, echoing Stella's dismay.

Stella groaned. "You were saying?" She gave me a teasing smirk, but even she couldn't hide her disappointment.

Our friends peeked into the room as well, each of us gasping quietly as we realized what had happened. Instead of the renowned chef we'd been excited to see, Griselda stood at the front of the room, her sharp eyes already narrowing at us.
