Alethea's POV:

"Honestly, returning from a journey without anything feels rather underwhelming," Stella expressed with a slight frown as the ship touched down in Alfea's courtyard. Initially relieved to be back, I couldn't shake the apprehension about what lay ahead, especially with the ongoing war. "I understand we didn't unearth the Dragon Fire or anything, but perhaps a token or two wouldn't have hurt."

"I doubt anyone anticipated souvenirs from a desolate planet, Stella," I remarked softly, observing Stella's nonchalant shrug.

Exiting the ship, we were met by Faragonda and Saladin. "Welcome home, girls. I'm relieved to see you all safe; it was a courageous mission," Faragonda greeted us warmly.

Bloom nodded in response, her clenched fist betraying a hint of tension, prompting a concerned furrow of my brows. "Thank you, Miss Faragonda," she replied quietly.

"So, you managed to assist the girls?" Saladin inquired of the boys, evident pride gleaming in his eyes for their invaluable support, effectively rescuing us.

"They certainly did!" Bloom's face lit up with a grateful smile. "Their intervention was crucial."

Stella's lips curved into a playful smirk. "I believe they've earned themselves some extra credit."

"Look over there..." Musa pointed to where Kiko and Icy's duck were. "Kiko seems to have made a new friend!"

"What..." Stella gasped in surprise. "How did the duck end up here?"

"I brought him along," Knut confessed, causing me to startle, wondering how I missed his presence earlier.

"It's alright; the ogre is now an ally," Faragonda reassured, noticing my subtle tension, her comforting touch easing my unease.

"He played a role in thwarting the Witches and has earned our trust," Saladin added, addressing the scepticism cast his way.

While Flora, Musa, and Tecna readily extended their trust, Bloom, Stella, and I remained cautious, recalling the ogre's involvement in the incident with Stella's scepter.

"That sounds agreeable," Stella responded with a smile that failed to reach her eyes, harbouring lingering reservations about our newfound ally's intentions. "Provided he enhances his hygiene."

Glancing at the ogre once more, I acknowledged the potential benefits of his allegiance, yet remained vigilant, silently urging him to prove his allegiance through unwavering dedication to our cause amid the ongoing conflict.

"Apologies for any odour; the battles have taken their toll," Knut sheepishly admitted, gesturing to illustrate his recent struggles. "I've had little opportunity for personal grooming."
