Alethea's POV:
"I need you. Why can't you help me? Why is it always her?" Ten-year-old me cried out to my mother, my voice shaking with desperation.
"Cause I love her more. I love her the most..." The words stung, hanging in the air like a weight I couldn't shake off.
"Alethea!" Stella's voice broke through the heaviness of my dream, gently pulling me out of the fog of my restless sleep. I felt a quiet sense of relief that she'd interrupted the haunting nightmare that had been suffocating me. "Are you okay? You look like you had a nightmare."
I wiped the cold sweat from my forehead, blinking slowly as I tried to reconnect with the present. "I'm fine..." My voice was quiet, but I gave her a small, reassuring smile.
Stella immediately wrapped her arms around me, her warmth grounding me in the best way. "Everything's okay," she whispered, her voice calming. Then, with a snap of her fingers, she brightened, as if an idea had struck her. "I know something that might cheer you up!"
I sat up, curious. "Like what?"
"Timmy says he's found a way to reach Tecna," Stella said, her voice filled with both excitement and a hint of uncertainty.
I sat up straighter, surprised by her words. "Really?" But as quickly as the excitement rose, doubt crept in, and I furrowed my brow. "Are you sure?"
Stella nodded, her confidence reassuring, and I didn't waste another second getting ready. We rushed to Red Fountain, joining the others.
"So, we were wondering if you could help Timmy connect with his innermost feelings?" Sky asked, his voice full of hope, but his nervousness was evident.
I raised an eyebrow, a bit puzzled. "Why would he want to do that?"
Timmy shifted uneasily, then explained, "I need to make this machine understand Tecna's emotional essence, and the only way to do that is by sharing my true feelings for her."
"So, you think it'll work?" Aisha asked, her voice skeptical, the same doubts swirling in my own mind. "Really?"
Timmy's face was determined, unwavering. "I'm sure we can, but I need your help!" We exchanged glances, and Stella cleared her throat, giving a small nod.
Sky, catching on, smiled nervously. "Alright, I'll leave you guys alone."
"So..." I stepped closer to Timmy, my voice soft but supportive. "How do you feel when you're with Tecna?"
Timmy didn't hesitate, his tone gentle but full of affection. "I feel happy. She makes me feel good."
"And what do you love about her?" Aisha's question was soft, but it held a quiet weight to it.
