Alethea's POV:
We were all sitting in the soft grass of the courtyard at Alfea, the sunlight filtering through the leaves, casting playful shadows on the ground. The warmth of the sun wrapped around me like a gentle embrace, and for a moment, I could almost forget about everything else. The chatter of the other students, their laughter and light-hearted conversations, gave my mind a peaceful calm I hadn't known in weeks.
"So the question is, do we work on the Water Stars or go check out the sales in Magix?" Stella asked, her tone teasing as she glanced around at the group.
"The Water Stars are our first priority," Tecna sighed, her eyes drifting dreamily. "-But then again, prom's coming up pretty soon."
I couldn't help the smile that tugged at my lips. "Timmy asked you."
"Why not both?" Aisha suggested, her voice full of energy. "We can do some work in the magic lab this morning, then hit the stores this afternoon."
"Great idea!" Bloom beamed, her eyes sparkling.
"Yeah," I agreed, my voice soft yet steady, always calm. "But for now, let's focus on what we know about the Water Stars."
Tecna nodded, pushing her glasses up. "Okay... So, what we know so far is that they're the exact scientific opposite of the Water and Fire Dragons. The Water Dragon balances out the Fire Dragon, and the Water Stars clash with both of them. These forces have existed since the beginning of the Magical Universe."
"They're not good or evil, just incredibly powerful," I added, the weight of those words hanging heavy in the air.
"We just have to figure out how to use them," Tecna pointed out, her voice turning thoughtful.
"Then let's get started." I nodded, already moving toward the lab. My heart was racing, though I tried to push the anxiety away. The Water Stars were a dangerous unknown, but we had to face them head-on. I couldn't let anything stand in our way, not after everything Aalto had been through.
We set up the Water Stars in a golden bowl, water swirling beneath them like the quiet flow of a stream. But even as I stared at them, something felt wrong. The energy in the room was charged, like the calm before a storm.
"Nothing seems to be working," Flora sighed, her brows furrowed as she observed the still stars.
Stella picked one of the Water Stars up, her curiosity piqued. "Maybe we should try hitting them with a burst of energy? See if it gets them going. What do you think?"
"I don't think we should, Stel," I frowned, stepping closer. "It might cause a negative reaction, and that could be dangerous."
"We don't want to blow up the science lab," Musa added, half-joking, but I could hear the tension in her voice.
