Alethea's POV:

"Alethea!"

Darkness enveloped me. Despite the void, there was no pain. My eyelids felt impossibly heavy, even as a familiar voice called out to me.

"Alethea!"

The second call brought a flicker of awareness. I sensed a shift in my surroundings—a subtle warmth replacing the cold. finally, I could move again.

"Alethea!" The voice was closer now, filled with urgency. I forced my eyes open to see my red-haired friend, Bloom, gazing down at me with worry etched in her eyes.

"Are you okay?" Bloom asked, extending her hand. I grasped it gratefully and she pulled me up. To my surprise, I felt no pain.

Bloom noticed my confusion and explained, "That's the padded suit for you."

"Saved by fashion," I murmured softly, a hint of amusement in my voice. "Stella would love that."

"Definitely," Bloom replied with a small smile that quickly faded. "We have to find the others."

I nodded gently, and we started moving through the dimly lit tunnels.

"Hello?" Bloom called out, while I remained silent, listening intently. "Anybody here?"

Suddenly, Bloom jumped. "Did you hear that?"

"Hear wha—" My words were cut off as a strange sensation washed over me, reminiscent of the time we infiltrated Cloud Tower to retrieve Stella's ring.

"I know that voice," Bloom muttered, her expression contemplative. She led me to what appeared to be a dining room. I tilted my head, puzzled by her certainty.

"I know where we are," Bloom whispered. "This is the palace of Domino." She intertwined her hands with mine, a relieved smile gracing her face. "It's amazing, isn't it?"

I returned her smile, nodding. "It really is."

"Too bad it's wrecked," Bloom said, her smile fading. Before I could respond, the ground beneath us trembled violently. I spotted a statue about to collapse and instinctively grabbed Bloom's hand, pulling her to safety just in time.

"Woah," Bloom exhaled shakily, her breath mirroring my racing heartbeat. "..Thank you, Alethea."

"That was close," I said softly, shaking off the lingering adrenaline. "We should keep moving. We don't have much time."

"Right," Bloom agreed, her expression mirroring my seriousness as we continued through the tunnels. Suddenly, we heard our names being called. Looking up, we saw the familiar faces of our friends.
