21. We lost them.....

Y/n POV

They had secured grappling lines to the Athena Parthenos just as the floor gave way, and the final columns of webbing snapped. Jason and Frank dove down to save the others, but they'd only found Nico and Hazel hanging from the rope ladder. Percy and Annabeth were gone. The pit to Tartarus had been buried under several tons of debris. Leo pulled the Argo II out of the cavern seconds before the entire place imploded, taking the rest of the parking lot with it.

The Argo II was now parked on a hill overlooking the city. Jason, Hazel, and Frank had returned to the scene of the catastrophe, hoping to dig through the rubble and find a way to save Percy and Annabeth, but they'd come back demoralised. I thought they would've found them. Why didn't they find them. I didn't feel anything. I helped Leo and Jason in loading the Athena Parthenon with Frank who was a elephant. Coach Hedge was too miserable to help. He kept pacing the deck with tears in his eyes, pulling at his goatee and slapping the side of his head, muttering, "I should have saved them! I should have blown up more stuff!"

We gathered on the quarterdeck as soon as we did I fell to the ground I didn't cry but the grief was too much.  Then Leo said something that made me realise I was a failure

"It's my fault," he said miserably.

 "No," Hazel insisted. "No, this is Gaea's fault. It had nothing to do with you." 

"I could've saved everyone if I could just use my powers better. I could've killed the other two eidolons. I could've stopped Leo he wouldn't have had to use the fortune cookie." I said. "Why do you guys even still have me in this ship. I'm useless I could've saved everyone but I couldn't. If I had went down I could've saved Percy and Annabeth what's the use in learning to yield a sword when I never use it. Don't come after me. I'll be fine."

I left. And also made a promise to myself that I'll use my powers. I have to. I'm not letting anyone else get hurt in my supervision. 

Timeskip 

Then, someone came into my room. "Please leave I don't—" "It's Leo, I'll remove my hand when you agree to come aboard." I tried to remove his hand but the guy was stronger than he looked. I yelled ok through his hands. Leo let go. Before I could yell at him he hugged and held me like that for about 5 minutes. I was so stunned I didn't speak I only cried . "It's find they'll be fine don't worry" he just repeated this till I was done crying " Sorry about your shirt" he smiled and said "It's fine. Y/n we need you. Don't want to believe it then don't but we need you to help us, please." 

"Ok let's go explain me the plan."
