Chapter 38 A Family Adventure

Two hours later, RJ put the boys to bed.I see, you're getting the hang of your new responsibility, said Mason. I've had practice on you, said RJ. ha, ha very funny,said Mason. I also had to babysit your kid, where is he anyway, asked RJ. Probably pretending to sleep, ever since Margaret got captured by F.O.W.L he hasn't been able to sleep, said Mason. When did she get caught, asked RJ. a year after you left, I'm going to find a way to get her back said Mason. RJ went to bed .

It was morning. Dewey jumped on his dad, who was still sleeping. RJ woke up. Dewey, let me sleep, said RJ. Ash bit RJ's foot, and pulled him out of bed. All right, fine you win, I'm up, I'm up, said RJ as he yawned. He went to the study,Dad we are not supposed to be in here, Dewey said. you're not, but I am, said RJ. Does uncle Scrooge even know you're alive? asked Louie, as he walked into the room. No, that's why I'm  here, said RJ. Scrooge came into the study. Rider, you're alive, said Scrooge as he hugged him. yep, said RJ. Scrooge hit RJ on the head with his cane, don't you ever do something like that again, said Scrooge. I won't woodchuck's Promise, said RJ, as he left with the boys. Who was that Dad, asked Webby. You know, I really got to get Used to you calling  me that. That was the boy's father,I mean, is the boy's father, said Scrooge. Scrooge Went out to the dining room,where everyone was. Before RJ could ask his usual question, Scrooge answered it. Go pack your bags kids, today we are going to the dark caves of doom, said scrooge, as he took out a map. So, you're doing all my jobs now, joked RJ. well, you've been gone for a while master Rider, said  Duckworth as he appeared in front of  RJ. ah, a ghost-oh  Duckworth it's you, said RJ. The boys looked at their dad with a puzzled expression on their faces. You act like you have always seen me dead, said   Duckworth. I've seen a lot of weird things happen, said RJ.

They Arrived at the dark caves of doom. The city where the cave was Located, was a Colorful place. Ahh, uncle scrooge, this place is a little more Colorful than I thought it would be, said Huey. don't let the look of this place fool you, nothing is as it seems, said scrooge. Great we're all going to die, said Mason. RJ looked at his brother in shock, he didn't realize he had gotten on the plane. You go on adventures now, asked RJ. Not by choice, mumbled Mason. Okay, we will split up into teams. RJ you and your brother will be a team, and the rest of us can Choose said scrooge.  RJ and Mason walked for a bit, RJ was in the middle of a conversation with his brother. When everything  went quiet. RJ looked beside him, he realized that his brother wasn't there. Mason, Mason Where Are you this isn't funny, yelled RJ. RJ heard a scream, He ran towards the noise. When he got to the noise, he saw Huey the ground was splitting from underneath his feet. Dad, Huey yelled. RJ grabbed Huey. The ground split more, before RJ could get out of the way, Huey and RJ Fell through the crack. RJ grabbed his dagger, and pushed it into the rock wall. This slowed them down. Huey grabbed his dad tightly, and closed his eyes. The dagger broke, but RJ was able to put his feet on the ground. You can open your eyes now, said RJ. Huey opened his eyes, and let go of his dad.  Thanks dad, said Huey. Your welcome kiddo, said RJ.  Dad, where are we, asked Huey. RJ grabbed a stick, and a match, he then  lit the stick on fire. I don't know, said RJ. Huey, and RJ walked for two hours. Huey got tired, so RJ put him on his shoulders. RJ saw his uncle, Uncle Scrooge, he yelled. When he finally caught up to Scrooge, he took Huey off his shoulders. Where's your brother, asked Scrooge. I lost him, RJ said quietly. Scrooge laughed, it worked he said. what worked, asked Huey. I wanted to see if you kids knew how to work without each other, I knew one of you three would get separated, said Scrooge. So this was a test, asked RJ. yep, said Scrooge. They went back to the mansion.
