-Monitoring Room-
"Ego-San...this is..." A young buxom woman stuttered while staring at the live feed of the match between Y/N and Rin's team in bewilderment. "His parameters suddenly shot up in the middle of the match! Is that even possible?"
Keeping his eyes on Y/N the entire time, Ego answered his assistant, Anri, slowly, "Obviously it's possible since it happened, but...how he did is the problem." A visible question mark showed with Anri's expression causing him to explain more deeply. "A increase in a player's capabilities is most commonly identified as them being in a state called "Flow". A form of trance that ideally occurs when a person is challenged at the right amount and is completely invested into a task."
Holding up his finger so Anri wouldn't interrupt him, he pressed on, "And there lies the problem. In this match, Itoshi Rin's challenge was far too difficult for him to enter "Flow" and the opposite could be said in the case of Y/N. A challenge too easy for him to fully bring out the "Miracle" in his plays. Yet...clearly this proves he achieved such a state without meeting those standard requirements."
"Won't that pose a problem for the others then?" Now looking a little more worried for the rest of Y/N's competition, her eyes landed on Nagi. "A gap in skill this large could potentially stagnate their growth and we won't have the results we need to continu-"
"Then I'll call Y/N my masterpiece and discard the remaining shit..." Ego stated, interrupting Anri.
"If they're so weak as to let a simple wall keep them from pushing forward, they aren't worth the trouble. Besides, you're forgetting. Just as a overwhelming force can intimidate, it can also inspire...create something stronger in order to oppose it. These diamonds in the rough...won't waste away that easily."
(2 Days Later)
-Training Field-
It had been two days since the addition of Aryu to to their team, and it no one else had made it to the 4 VS. 4 stage aside from them. As such, their days just consisted some team drills and 1-on-1's to improve before their next match.
At the moment, Aryu and Kurona were practicing their 1-2 passes while Y/N sat against the wall criss-cross style with Nagi right next to him the exact same way. Y/N's breathing could barely be heard with his eyes closed while Nagi's sounded more like he was about to doze off, especially with the way he could barely hold himself up.
Sighing to himself, he finally said, "Nagi..." His name causing him to open both eyes slowly, he didn't know how Y/N knew to keep going. "What the hell are you doing?"
"I don't know. Whatever you're doing." The genius responded casually.
A small snort came out as he questioned back, "And how's that going for ya?"
