2039
AndrewThe smell of blood hits me hard and I'm having a lot of trouble staying conscious. I stop moving forward for a minute while trying to collect myself. The others are throwing themselves fearlessly into the fight even thought they are being riddled with the Protecters bullets. Luckily The Protectors seems slightly disorganized. They probably hadn't expected an attack like this. After all, it hasn't really happened before. These useless Protectors keep shooting repeatedly at our bodies, even though only a headshot has the real effect.
Slowly I begin to move again. I stumble past a Protector that is on the ground with his gut ripped open. One of my Anthroes are feasting on his flesh while the dying man is still screaming. How he isn't dead yet, I do not know.
Right in front of me, one of my creatures jumps a Protector and tears off his helmet, before he can point his weapon at him. The helmet fly right by me and hits the ground a few feet away before bouncing a bit further like it was some kind of ball. A scream catches my attention as the Protector in front of me gets his throat ripped out. The scream is coming from one of mine. A death-scream. I hurry towards him as a roar from deep within me fills the air. As I tear the Protector away, his knife pulls out from the throat of one of my Anthroes. The blood splatters from the knife and before I know it, my instincts kick in. I rip him apart with my bare hands as I roar loudly. A roar with an order to attack. Attack without mercy! The Anthroes instantly intensifies their assault. Limbs fly through the air as we rip, skin, flay and bite every single human in our sight.
Bullets come flying down on us from the wall where The Protectors are hiding. Feeling safe. They don't even try to avoid shooting their own men anymore. They know that they won't survive our attack.
I roar towards them as the bullets rains down on me. I want them to die, but I don't know how to reach them.
Suddenly one of them falls over the railing, screaming, and my Anthroes instantly attack him. Drilling their teeth deep into the flesh even before he has hit the ground.
An arrow whistles through the air from behind me and another Protector falls to the ground. The Protectors starts yelling and firing towards something behind me. I turn around and see him.
A man with a bow and arrows. He is helping us. Firing arrow after arrow at The Protectors on the Wall with blood trickling down his arm. He seems familiar. He smells familiar. I step towards him but as I do he turns his weapon towards me.
"Don't!" I'm not your enemy Andrew. Keep your head in the game!" he shouts.
The name echoes in my mind. Andrew... Andrew. It means something, I know it does but it's like it's just out of reach and I can't remember. Just as I can't really remember the man with the bow.
Even though I'm still staring at him. He turns his weapon towards the wall again and keeps his arrows flying. My gut tells me to let him fight with us even though I want to kill him. He is human. He smells like food... but there is something more than that. Some kind of kindship...
I decide to ignore my desire to eat him and throw myself onto one of the fallen Protectors instead. I rip the fabric of his body before I tear a chunk of his flesh of his chest and with hunks of shredded meat dangling from my teeth, I begin to feast on his flesh.

"Andrew. Andrew!" The voice seems to come from afar, but when I open my eyes, I see a figure surrounded by light from the sky. I squint and try to focus on the figure that is hovering above me. "ANDREW!" his voice rings in my head and suddenly all the noises around me comes crushing in. Chomping, chewing, gargles, screams and crying, all while the intense hazel eyes are glaring at me. "Come on man, I can't fucking leave you here!"
"Alec, cut it out. He is gone. It's too late. We need to keep moving."
Alec... the name sounds familiar.
"For fucks sake, Andrew, get up man!"
Alec! Suddenly I remember him. And where we are. We are in the middle of an attack for my revenge. I sit up rapidly and grasps his hand.
"That's is! Good to have you back." He pats my back and runs to the others. I follow quickly but most of them recoils from me. The one that called for Alec before, looks at me with wide eyes.
Simon.... His name is Simon. My memory begins to slowly come back.
"Uhm, dude. Maybe you should wipe your mouth... just a suggestion."
Alec nods in agreement and I wipe my mouth in my sleeve. Blood and flesh drips from it and I realize how far gone I was this time.
"How long was I... you know...?" I whisper to Alec.
"About ten minutes." His voice is filled with concern.
"Oh... alright..."
"Are you okay? We need to get going before more Protectors appear."
"Yeah... yeah, I'm fine."
We rush on and leaves the bloody feast behind us as the gate slams shot.
