Tiny POV

Lily's breathing was rapid, and I could feel her heart pounding beneath her thin shirt. When her eyes widened, I knew she understood that I wanted to kiss her, but Gears went and fucked it up.

"Fuck yeah! Get it!" Gears whooped, and I could hear Tiger smacking him on the couch.

Lily instantly pulled away and ran into the dressing room, shutting me out. I sat next to Gears before elbowing him in the abdomen, pissed.

"Sorry," he mumbled.

"No, you're not. I swear if Lily doesn't come back out in the other outfits, I'm leaving you here," I gritted.

We waited a few minutes, but Lily didn't reappear, and I didn't know what to do. Tiger got up and knocked on the dressing room door, which opened, and she disappeared into it. Another few painful minutes ticked by before both girls came back out, and Lily had changed into a beautiful yellow knee-length sundress.

"I think it was made for you," Tiger said, sitting back on the couch, and Lily blushed.

"You are what I pictured when I made that dress," the owner piped up. "If you don't buy it, it will be my gift."

Lily opened her mouth to object but quickly closed it again, unsure what to say.

"Do you like it?" I asked, unable to take my eyes off her.

Lily nodded and smiled before going to try on another outfit. While she changed, I walked over to the owner and stated,"Everything in that dressing room we are buying. I don't care what she says she likes or doesn't. I want it all. Especially the yellow dress."

The owner nodded understandingly and watched the rest of Sunshine's fashion show, wishing I had her to myself. Over the next twenty minutes, Lily's confidence grew with each outfit, and I couldn't have been happier. At the end of her try-on haul, I heard Lily tell the owner she would only take the yellow sundress.

I waited at the counter while Tiger showed Lily a pair of shoes she had found, distracting her. The owner brought out all the clothes and rang them up. I slid my card across the counter, not caring about the price. Seeing Lily happy is priceless, and I will do anything to keep her beautiful smile on her face.

However, Lily clearly heard the price and scurried over to stop me. Once she reached me, I grabbed her hips and pulled her into me, and when she tried to protest, I kissed her. Lily's body stilled, and I leaned further into her, letting the feeling of her soft lips against mine consume me.

I pulled away as Lily's eyes fluttered open. A cute blush took over her face as she stood in shock, and I smiled. Her blue eyes swam with emotions, but one stood out more than the others: love.

Without breaking our eye contact, I grabbed my card and the bags before taking Lily's hand in mine and kissing it.

"Come on, the others are waiting for us," I commented. Lily could only nod, and I laughed.

Too cute for your own damn good. I'm in serious trouble now.

*****

We spent the next two days in Atlanta, waiting for Killer and Ace to say they had caught the guys and they didn't need our help. However, after two days of nothing and a few concerning texts from Whiskey, we decided to head back to Washington.

Lily was nervous as we boarded our flight, and when she told me her first time flying was to Atlanta, Hawk put us all in first class. After take-off, I pulled Lily into my lap, despite Lily and the stewardess arguing with me, and eventually, we both fell asleep.

When we landed, Tiger called Kayla, and by the looks of Tiger's face, it wasn't with good news. Tiger hung up as we finished loading the last bags into the SUV and gathered around.

"That was Kayla. The stress from the last few weeks has caused her to go into labor early. She's at the hospital. However, the doctors need her to wait at least another week before delivering the baby if possible. But Kayla won't do anything until she can see Lily for herself," Tiger huffed.

"I'll call her from the car. Kayla needs to listen to the doctors! I didn't know I was giving her complications," Lily exclaimed, on the verge of tears.

"No, honey, you didn't. Kayla has just been worried. We all have," Tiger assured her.

"Let's go," Lily mumbled, getting into the SUV, and the rest of us followed suit.

I sat in the back with Lily and handed her my phone, knowing she didn't have her own.

Mental note: have Hawk get Lily a new phone.

After Lily talked to Kayla, she hung up, and said, "Kayla agreed to take the anxiety meds and a few others to help her relax as long as we promise to go there first instead of the clubhouse."

"We can do that, Sunshine," I said, grabbing her hand, and she rested her head on my shoulder. "I know you think you caused all this, but you didn't. You are the only one who can calm Kayla down and get her to listen to the doctors. You are a part of the family, making it a home for us."

Lily sighed. "I know, but if I hadn't left, none of this would have happened. Besides, I don't even know what or where home is. I know it's supposed to be about people and not a place, but that's not how I grew up. I bounced from home to home, I think, and I never knew my parents. I still don't," she admitted, moving to look at me.

"Do you want to?" I asked, secretly hoping she didn't want to.

Lily stared ahead, silently thinking, and my heart pounded. Lily deserves to know about Chains and her mom, but the hurt she still holds from the past makes me question if telling her would heal those wounds or make them bigger.

"I want to know if they're still alive and want to meet them if they want. Maybe they don't know I'm alive, or they are still looking for me," she answered.

I smiled and kissed her lips gently before staring back at the road.

This is not what I wanted to hear. Chains is back at the clubhouse, waiting to die, but Lily doesn't know that. I don't know how Lily will react, and I hope it doesn't destroy her or the image she built of her parents. Either way, we will find out soon.
