Flabbergasted, Megha looked at her older sister as she asked, "Who do you think you are?"
As Prachi's hand moved as if to strike Megha, her expression changed again, her eyes widening in surprise. Before Megha could react, Prachi's expression shifted suddenly. She adopted a softer tone, a hint of shyness creeping into her voice. "Anyway, you must come home soon. Megha, I'm ultimately your older sister and I hope you'll live well," Prachi said gently.
Megha stared at her in confusion ,followed her gaze and saw Gautam standing behind her, his presence commanding attention.
Megha's gaze shifted to Prachi, her sister, as she watched the conflicting emotions play out on her face. She turned away, her confusion evident. Without a word, Gautamn walked past Prachi, his eyes fixed on Megha's frightened face.
She was as white as a ghost, a far cry from her warm and soft complexion this morning.She looked like a puppy that had just been abandoned.
"Are you feeling unwell?" Gautam asked, his voice neutral.
Megha shivered, her voice barely above a whisper. "No, I'm fine."
"Come with me," Gautam instructed, his tone firm but not unkind.
Megha hesitated for a moment before following him out of the room, leaving behind a bewildered Prachi.
Outside, Megha finally mustered the courage to ask Gautam, "Why are you here?"
"This hotel is owned by my family," Gautam replied simply.
Understanding dawned on Megha. "So that's why..
He glanced at her sideways without moving his head, "What are you doing here?"
She said, "Oh, there's a role that I wanted to audition for, so I came here to meet the director with the hope that I could get a chance to audition."
He replied her with an "Oh ,Okay. Look for me here after you're done. I'll take you home."
She simply nodded
As they walked together, Megha couldn't shake the feeling of gratitude towards him. Despite his aloof demeanor, she couldn't deny that he had helped her in her time of need. And as they left for the exit, Megha couldn't help but wonder about this man beside her and the mysteries surrounding him.
After Megha left to handle her matters, Gautam turned to his assistant, Ronit, and inquired, "She's here for an audition?"
Ronit nodded respectfully. "Yes, Madam is auditioning for a role in a webseries that your family is investing in to promote our hotels. Filming will begin soon, and your younger brother Gaurav is the male lead."
