Gautam caught up with her. He looked at her and stopped, his gaze full of worry.
He looked at Megha for a while before walking up to her. He took her hand and asked, "Why did he said?"
Megha said, "Nothing much. Dadaji just wanted to give me this."
She took out the pendant and showed it to Gautam.
Gautam took it in his hand. He narrowed his eyes as if he was doubting her words.
Holding onto her shoulder, he looked at her and asked, "What did he tell you?"
Megha said, "Erm... Alright, nothing much actually. He just told me that he thinks I'm a burden to you."
Gautam's brows furrowed.
She could tell his brows furrowed and the vein on his forehead twitched. The teeth in his mouth moved slightly and produced a grinding sound.
He skirted around Megha and wanted to look for Abhijeet ji.
Megha clutched onto his waist.
Gautam froze.
Megha said, "Gautam!"
He turned his head around.Megha looked at him and sighed, "Actually, Dadaji was not wrong. I am indeed a burden to you. I don't have any skills and I'm stupid. I can't help you with your work at all."
"You are my wife, you are not burdening me. Being married means we now live our lives together. Should one of us have to find another person with more knowledge to live with for the rest of their lives? Can I not be with you because I'm smarter than you? That's certainly not marriage, but the handing over of work, isn't it?"
"..." Megha swatted his shoulders. "What do you mean by not that smart! How dare you call me dumb! Compared to you... I'm just a little lacking, just a little okay?" She stretched out her fingers to indicate a small amount.
Gautam laughed in his deep voice. He looked at Megha and pulled her in for a hug.
