Bend and Break

Bend and break.
You'll never give, but you'll always take.
You steal the little peace I make,
Close the distance I put for my sake.

I was such a fool.
So easily made into your tool.
A toy you used to vent your anger.
That young girl, wasn't it so easy to manipulate her?

They tell me that you're sorry.
But those days were more than scarring.
I bled for you.
But I've had enough, it's true.

How can I forgive you after everything you did?
Everything you did to a little kid?
I was only a child,
Yet you happily took my smile.

Don't ask me to forgive.
Don't ask me to forget.
I deserve more than what you choose to give.
And I will only accept what I know I should get.

You don't regret it,
You don't feel bad for all the times I got hit.
So don't say you do,
I'm not convinced and neither are you.

No more wondering how,
How you could not feel a thing when you cut me down.
As I wave goodbye and bow,
I make a vow.

Bend and break.
My strength, I'll never let you take.
Everything you offer me, I can just make.
I'll cut you off for my sake.
