Why am I still bleeding?
When will the healing finally start?
What will it take to mend my broken heart?
Every scab that finally grows,
Gets ripped off before the wound can close.
I'm getting tired of the bandages,
Making my abused skin itch.
What will it take to mend my broken heart?
I never realized the cut was so deep.
It was so thin that I could hardly see.
Will it leave a scar in its place?
Or will it one day begin to fade?
