I've said it before and I'll say it again.
You need to get out of your head.
Think of five things you can see.
Over there, that willow tree.
My hair catching in the breeze.
Flying by the window, a fuzzy yellow bee.
The smile that I give you when you turn to look at me.
The color of the clothes you toy with cause you can't let them be.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.
You need to get out of your head.
Think of four things you can hear.
The engine of that truck near.
That song on the radio that just appeared.
The patter of rain on the window right here.
The rustling of your clothes when you clench them in fear.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.
You need to get out of your head.
Think of three things you can feel.
The clothes you're wearing cause the comfort they give is real.
The phone in your hand that lost its appeal.
The weight of my hand in yours because they got so cold they looked almost teal.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.
You need to get out of your head.
Think of two things you can smell.
The hint of leather from your belt.
The candle you bought cause of the happiness you felt.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.
You need to get out of your head.
Think of one thing you can taste.
The gum you're still chewing cause to spit it out is a waste.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.
You need to get out of your head.
Breathe in and out after each sense.
I promise you won't regret the time that you've spent.
Trying to chase away your fear
Until fear isn't real.
Trying to let go of the pain
So you can remember my name.
